the newer series of Geico commercials

Have you seen the new series of Geico commercials, where this agent-type-of-looking guy in a suit says, "Can Geico save you 15% or more on Car Insurance?...Can [so and so] play a mean fiddle?" And then it smash cuts to a hillybilly guy in a restaraunt playing a fiddle really intricately and really fast?
In the past I have thought the Geico commercials were really terrible and annoying (especially those cavemen ones). This newer series I'm not too find of, but I LOVE the one with Elmer Fudd- I am finding the way the he says "r" sounds as "w" sounds.
When I saw the part where Elmer Fudd goes, "ah, this diwector is wubbing me the wong way," I started laughing really hard. ///

That "hillbilly" is Charlie Daniels, quite famous country music star. you know, as in the Charlie daniels band? "Devil went down to Georgia" ring a bell? Anyway he's been around forever and yes, he does in fact play a pretty mean fiddle (as evidenced by the commercial, lol). I think my favorite one is the one where the gecko gets sucked up the mail tube.....no wait...maybe it's the one where his boss tries the "trust excerise" with him. Actually I think I liked the ones where he was being stalked by that nature show host type guy.

uh, no. I have never heard of him- I'm really, really not into that type of music.
I was just using the term "hillbilly" to describe him because I didn't knoe WHO he was.
Anyways, I forgot about those nature guy ones! Those were ok, too. The gecko was cute when he was first featured in the commercials, but now he's starting to get old. w

None of Geico's commercials would I rate a "must see". The gecko, while old, is better than the cavemen or the current series, in my opinion. None of them would make me want to go back to Geico as my insurer.

I like the Gecko best. Some of the caveman ones were O'K. The ones with money and the doll eyes were all terrible and I can't imagine anything other than that they drove customers they already away much less attracted new ones. These new ones are just so-so except for one that was pretty good that I can't remember right now since I have only seen it once.

I like the new campaign they have now running. I did enjoy the caveman commercials. I did not watch the caveman show ABC had on for what two weeks. And the hillbilly guy is Charlie Daniels and very famous country singer. He had a major hit with The Devil Went Down To Georgia. Yes he can play the fiddle that fast.
