Have you ever changed you religion? From this to that? Is there any better religion? Or this is only something about faith? Do you ever imagine what is the reason for every one to change their religion, is this something about faith or influence?

i never change my religion ever since. its because i already experience a lot of miracles from god just in my religion alone. every time i need him i just pray and ask for help then all of a sudden someone offer help to me though i know it might not be god directly but he uses other people to help us. its not about religion, what matter is our love and belief to god. as god didnt say what religion he will just going to save or listen but he said he will save those who love and believe in him. so believing and loving in god is already enough no need to change religion.

I am so glad to hear that homeshoppers... You are right, it is not really about religion, it is about our love and faith in him... before I was questioning about my faith... but it turned out later that I am not questioning Him, I am asking my religion instead... about how it could help me find Him more... I decided to change it but through influence, I have stayed in my first religion long this time... I told myself, religion is a way to find him, to understand deep about His Glory... but it could not save me... faith does!

I was to a baptist , my dad and a agnostic, my mom. By the time I was born neither went to church. We celebrated Christmas but it was more secular than religious. When I was about 13 I fell for Judaism. I have been practicing for 21 years now. For me I found a religion that fits me. That answers my questions. That welcomes my questions. Is there a better religion? I see it this way , there are many paths , one must find their own path and be faithful.

What a great sharing sarah... Yes I agree on you... religion serves as our paths... a different path that heads in one direction... and we should find the path that fits our understanding to be more faithful on it... so that we could achieve pacing at the same end...

Religion is so personal. If you are just going through the motions of a religion just because you are told to, it isn't Really in your heart and I can't see how you can get anything out of it.

Hi, primeaque86. I am usually driven by influence at first. But then I will secretly go to God and talk with him about my desire. And if I really want it to happen for me, I will just believe and trust that God will fulfill my desire. Some people change their religion because of personal reasons. They probably could have burned in the church. And, from that they only trust certain people. This made their religion take a decline and they just stop attending church and they also don't believe in God as they used to either.

no disrespect, i am just curious. what does a building with people in it have to do with someone's belief in "god"? so, you can't believe in god unless you go to church or have a secondary form of worship for a pastor or a priest. you supposed to believe in "god" not man or man made things, right?

Hi cream97, I agree with you... sometimes we are driven by influence of many close person around us... but the faith is still there... it doesn't destruct our trust from Him... Religion is a religious community where members gather together for worship... but whether driven by faith or influence, there at our every prayer... we are talking to only One God...

In behalf of cream97 for this moment Moon, please let me answer your question... This is my point of view: building a society for worship/building a religion doesn't really affect our faith... faith in God is there already before any religion exists... that faith encourages and fuels believers to form a group where they can together worship, and pray... My religion teacher said: In unison, a prayer could be more heard... Thanks for the sharing my friend...

it is not religion that anyone would be saved but through our faith. but i must say that i was influenced by faith to change religion. i have seen more of against my faith from the religion i was born with so i changed when i believed there is one religion that will guide my faith through salvacion.

Hi neildc, Thanks for dropping my friend... Yes you are definitely right neil. Religion could not save us, it is our faith who will save us from our sin and lead us to Him, to His door to heaven... and whether you were driven by influenced to quit and change... the very important one is you believe on him... you believe that he would come and save us... God is Love...

Do you really need religion to find God?? Do you really know any religion that understands God? Why is it when people decide to find God that they get someone like religion to help them?? Is religion more about being social??? I am never driven by faith or influence. I am driven by the need to know and discover the real truth.

religion is a more personal matter. everyone has his or her own belief, and many religious organizations came into existence because of these beliefs. there are many reasons why one changes his or her religioun from one after the other. it can be both by influence or by faith. By influence, my cousin changed his religion because of a girl. if he will not change religion, then the girl will not accept him :-). By faith, my friend moved out from one church to this church because based on his personal bible readings the new church he is in now is more biblical than the other.

Hi anc457, Religion is more personal matter, I agree on that. A person may change his religion by two reasons: 1. Influence 2. faith I agree further on your example on influence... it is one of the cases too. Here, a Christian usually turned into an Islam if he will married with a Muslim bride... Thanks for the sharing my friend...
