Baking soda will take out nearly any odor. Sprinkle it over the area and let it sit for an hour or so then vacuum it up. Puppies take a LOT of time! You probably should go for an older, housetrained dog. Not as cute but you'll enjoy the dog much more and if you get him or her from a shelter they will love you forever. They rarely chew things up, either. Good luck!

I'm not sure if baking soda is the same as bicarbonate of soda.It sounds like it might be. We dilute ours with water as it soaks in to the fibres . Safer your way though to just sprinkle it on if it was clothing or furniture.

Yeah,I found that out,I should of got one that was older and trained already.I already have one dog but he's very house broken,I felt like adding a puppy. My older dog liked the puppy, but it didn't work out over the house breaking and the crying it did.It was just too much.I'll just stick to the dog I have now.I got a litter pan trained cat now instead.I'm gonna try out the baking soda, thanks for the advice.

Try bicarbonate of soda dissolved in water or if you have it, a soda siphon spayed on. It should neutralize the pong. This works on human pee and on other unpleasant smells and it is colourless so shouldn't hurt the carpet.

hi java09 I think that in any grocery store in the pet secton they sell some products that are used to remove dog or pet urine from rugs and carpet, and also all veterinary places that would have dog urine removals stuff. Just ask at the store or at the veterinarian's place for the products that remove dog urine and the odor.

My english mastiff has had kidney problems since a young age when she was gingthrough one of the tough times, it just runs out of her while she slept. I soaked up as much as I could then sprinkled with baking soda, swepp that up then i soaked it with vinegar and water let set for about 15 minutes then use a shop vac to get all the water up stopped the smell and no stain!
