I do love trash TV, I'll admit it, and Maury is one of my guilty pleasures. I could watch the paternity test result shows all day. I have to wonder why these women choose to go on national television and air their dirty laundry like they do! I wonder if part of it is because the TV show will have their results back quicker than the state will when they are trying to establish child support. I also do not believe that many of these women are promiscuous as they appear (although some no doubtedly are). I think they are poorly educated as to how conception takes place and how their cycles work monthly. When you show up with 15 men, I think you are just pulling up every single guy you've ever slept with. What do you think? Do you watch?

I used to watch the maury show. I was also fascinated by the paternity test shows. It seems like he did a lot of them for awhile, I'm not sure if he still does. I think that not only the fact that most likely the t.v. show would have the test back sooner, but also that the show may give a bit of compensation or allowed leisure for the guest... I'm not quite sure how that works, or if it's true for talk shows or not!

Yes, he still does them. I have my DVR set to catch them, I'd say there at least 2 episodes a week still. I'm with you...I think it's a free mini-vacation for a lot of the people on there.

I love watching Maury too. Althought most stuff we see are fights, there are some very serious stuff too. Unlike the Jerry Springer show, I think the Maury show genuinely would like to help out the couples and lovers find out who the child's real father is or who is cheating. Of course, the quarrels would help keep up the ratings.

They stopped showing Maury here. At least we don't get the channel that shows it. I loved watching it though. I could watch the paternity shows all day too. It does amaze me that some of those girls have slept with so many guys in such a small time period that they don't know which of the 10+ guys could be the father. I miss watching the show. I wish one of the major networks would pick it up again.

I only watched Maury a few times and I used to watch Jerry Springer but I am tired of that type of daytime shows. I wonder how much of that is real and how much is just a act. I get stuck with Maury a few times at the laundry mat and it is always the same thing paternity tests. Is that all they can come up with and no other ideas? There are to many better shows for me to tape and watch later. There is only so much of the I slept with my mother-in-law's grandmother that I can take. Or I the ex-boyfriend is now sleeping with the current boyfriend. I no I have never watched Jerry's bodyguard new talk show. That right there shows you how bad daytime talk shows has come. Showing my age but remember Phil Donahue and how he actually had interesting topics, & guests? Now that was a daytime show to watch.

I have watched a couple Maury shows, or rather parts of them. I really cannot stand to watch that show- it breaks my heart to see people can act and live so trashily like that.

I used to watch Maury. I remember back when I was in high school, I would usually come home and watch it every afternoon. Back then, it came on at 3 p.m. where I lived. But now, Maury doesn't even air where I live any longer. Or if it does, I can never find it. As I recall, my favorite episode of his show were the video oriented shows. I always enjoyed that type episode the most I think. I do also wonder why all those people would keep appearing on that show. I think I can remember women who would end up having to test 5+ people and STILL not find the truth. Or maybe I'm just making that memory up (it HAS been a long time, after all).

I have watched Maury but its not planned or a habit. I always wonder why a female would continue to go on the show after 2 or more guys have been tested to find out which one is the Father. Why would you put your business out in front of the world. Letting them know you have been to bed with numerous people in a period of time, that you don't know who the Father is of your baby. It has to be so embarrassing to their family to see their daughter on National TV showing that she has been to bed with 10 or 15 guys.
