I ran for a cause. It was a local radio station's fun-run to save the environment. Locally, the run was called "Takbo Para Sa Kalikasan". In English: "Run For The Environment".
It was participated by many groups, family, individuals, schools, and NGO's.
All in all, it was fun. I spent walking most of that 5-kilometer run. The important thing is I participated in a worthwhile event.
Have you run for a cause lately? Tell me about it.

Five kilometers is just a short jog. You can do it for an hour if you walk it through. I do a combination of jog and walk. Most of the time I walk. Hehehe.

If you run with your friends along with you, it could be fun and you will not notice it that you have ran already that far. So I guess, the trick is, if you are not really a runner but you want to do it for a cause, bring along some friends so you can have fun at the same time!

I personally haven't had the opportunity to run/walk for a cause very often in the past year or so. However, that doesn't mean that I don't want to do it. I would like to be able to get my husband in better health so that I can take the time to train to do something that could make a difference.
My brother did Team in Training for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society last year, he did a full triatholon and I was quite inspired by him. That is something that I want to do. I was going to do it this year, but with Tom's health I knew it wasn't the best option, so I'm hoping that I will be able to train to do it next year.

It's funny that it is the swimming part of it that worries me the least. I've been a swimmer all my life and last summer I started using a road bike again for the first time in several years. But, I've never been brave enough to get off my tail and start training to run. I will do it though.

I think you're fit to run if you are running every weekend. That's good exercise dude. Where do you live, dude?

You did? That's nice! I was there also, but I did not participate in the events but just jog all by myself at the baywalk. Just went there to see some stars. Had you informed me a little earlier, we could have met there personally.

Do you have a uniform?
I doubt we can meet if I told you earlier that I'd be there. There are lots of people there. Have you seen Piolo or Maricar?
I have some pictures of them taken by my officemate.
