Another New on the All New myLot

I clicked from the notification. It says, view the response on mylot

So the page opens, without any response displayed. I was kinda bothered.
So I retype it in the address bar removing everything after the "?"

And it opens now.
But where are the other responses. Oops! No more second page? Where did they go, I thought I have 24 responses here?
What? All 24 responses in on page? How did this happen?
Is this another glitch of the system or this is really new?
I am kinda confused and need some clarification, if you were able to notice this lately.

Well... It's both an enhancement and a glitch. 30 responses per page is an enhancement - something we're trying. The pointers being incorrect is an associated glitch. We'll get it worked out.

well it was a funny sort of shock, had four left out of ten on one page to comment on came back oh my g whats this I have a ton, I thought I had done at least half of these, then I respond to another person who explains its now thirty responses to a page. at first I thought all my work had been deleted for some reason. Now I like it,its easier in a lot of ways, and too mylots again loading faster, thats a real relief. wow.

I am still getting used to the new format. But just now when I wanted to check on my responses there was none there and only my post is there. I have to refresh the page to try another time and managed to get to see the responses but the page becomes longer with more responses in it. Need to get used to the new set up.

I wonder who are those from my list that you successful requested to your friends list. I am sure both will benefit from each other. Hopefully the chain of friendships will grow and never die. I believe the admin is still on a trail and error stage to see what is best suited to this site. Hopefully they'll work round the clock to find a solution to the glitch.

you know what zandi? i have been trying to cope with my new system too. with a lot of new friends in my list, after sending a lot of requests coming from your own list, my mails are coming so fast, a lot of them. so i am trying to read and respond to most of them. and i thought i won't be starting a new discussion for quite some time. now here is something that i noticed and i can't help but share with you and have an answer. but as alice had mentioned, there is an associated glitch with the 30 response per page enhancement. we'll just have to get used of this.

yeah, as Alice had said, they'll look on it and will try to fix the glitch soon... i also wonder who among are our common friends now. after that time and soon after the first email came in that says my friendship request has been accepted, i create a folder and send those kinds of notification in and you know how many are there now? 93, new added members in my friends list. 
so that's why i thought, i could not create new discussions for a long time, to answer most of their discussions. i guess we all gets the benefit.

hi neildc no glitch its a new feature just introduced while I was eating dinner, came back to finish the four comments I had to make to finish the page of ten responses only to fine a heck of a lot more all on t he same p;age, at the time i did not count them as I am thinking all my typing gone mylot must have deleted it but why then I read that its now thirty responses to one page not ten now that explained every thing,wow, I kind of like it, simplifies things a lot. But I do wish they would tell us ahead of time what they are going to do. that really rattled my cage.he he.

hi alice he he right,got to be kept on my toes.oh I am a diabetic and succumbed to two huge chocolatechip cookies at lunch which I paid for by falling asleep every ten minutes while mylotting, shameshame on me. Now
I have to type like crazy to use up all the extra blood sugar. shame again.

I did notice that today and I have been waiting for it to be rectified. I’m sure admin is aware of the problem and if they weren’t they are now! There are teething problems with every new enhancement I guess. I would imagine it would not be easy to implement changes on a busy site like this one. I hope they fix it anyway...

yes kitty. and at this moment, pages are back to its 10 responses per page. it went to 30 responses when i posted this discussion and GoAskAlice told us that they are just experimental.

i never know about this at all until i read your post... that just shows how ignorant and inactive nowadays i am in mylot... :-) anyway, i will check it out and find out more about this new feature from mylot... thanks for your info and happy mylotting... take care and have a nice day...

I have seen the same problem yesterday in Zandi’s discussion. Thirty responses were in one page; I really surprised to see the same and thought that it is new development in mylot (as I was away for some days). But the same development was not seen in other’s discussion. I think it is not bad if we can read 30 responses in one page. No need to go page by page in three times to read the whole (30 responses). Let us expect more surprises from mylot.

i thought Alice will really continue with the 30 responses per page as though she said it's only an experiment or something. and then today, when i log-in, it's back to 10. Alice really have a lot of surprises for us.

No, I haven't had that trouble in responding to discussions. BUT, I did notice my newest discussion that the page was going on past 10 responses on the first page. Wondered if it was an improvement on mylot or a glitch.

I guess Alice put it back to 10 responses per page. I think it just happened yesterday and back to normal just today.

Hi, me too watching same. Last evening, i started a dis on mylot language and today morning, when i opened i saw 19 responses in a single page. It made me realy surprised and thought it may happen only to me. Bcoz i am mylotting through cellphone where no computer is connected. I have considered it as a display resolution problem and now i m clear that it is a genuine matter now. May be a part of all new mylot. Thanks.

yeah shibham, GoAskAlice already mentioned in this thread that this is part of an enhancement though there is a glitch in the notification.
