Yes, we should all do our part in saving and conserving energy. It's common sense to switch off any electric appliances when not in use, for example, the fluorescent lamp or the electric fan. It's also advisable to switch off the mains even when not in use, for example, the water heater. Leaving the water heater on will consume energy, although the shower is not used, because it is continuously heating up the water.

I just make sure to turn things off when I don't need them. I also try to manage my day by doing energy intensive things off peak hours as this is better for the environments. Lights off when I don't need them, avoid the heater and AC, as well. The kind of usual stuff.

there are various ways to save energy and power. the power crisis is impending due to climate change and other infrastructure problems. in my own capacity, what i do to ease the problem in small ways is to be conscious of my energy consumption. now that i am aware and conscious, i can reduce my consumption from those sources which are unnecessary. instead of traveling by car, i take an effort to take a walk. i put oof lights that are unnecessary. i do not print on new papers unless needed.

I do everything that everyone else has already suggested here. One big thing is to never leave things like televisions on standby, and I also pull the plugs from the sockets too, because every electrical item that is plugged in but not turned on still drains a small amount of electricity.
