aren't all a bit gaga about making money?

it makes me laugh that for the past few days people I talk to whether online here in my lot or in the physical talks so much about making more money or having some extra money. there's nothing wrong about this though because we all need money, its just that we are quite focused in making more of it. I kinda missed the days when I didn't have to worry about making money and life was just a breeze. have we really become a bit gaga about making money?

Some people are, but the way things are now, we need that extra money to try to keep what we have. No one wants to loose what they have, so they try to make more money to keep it, it becomes the first thing on our minds. People are loosing their jobs, so they want to have another way to make money.

well I think once you grow up and become indipendent then money will become an important issue, we need them to survive, so the more we make the better (usually). In some ways yes we are all a bit gaga about making money, myself at the moment don't really need to make money in order to survive, but I can always use some extra cash for small pleasures I work online just for fun when I have nothing to do, so it is for me a good way to earn and save :)

I know what you're saying -- I definitely didn't care much about money when I was younger and wasted a fair bit of what I had. However, now that I'm older I actually enjoy making money. It's tough when you're in bad times and can't stop worrying, but it's kind of fun to try to find new ways to make an extra buck. I don't think I'm really greedy (actually I'd love to be rich just so I could give away tons of money to worthy causes), but I would say making money really is an interest of mine.

well i guess we all need money and we cant just get 10 dollars anywhere specially while at home and do nothing. and so me, i prefer to look for extra income online since i dont have job and i need to earn a lot of money for my birthing cost. i know that my earning here in mylot will not be enough to pay my medical expenses but at lest it help me to pay some of my expenses while at home besides im being gaga with internet too so why not use this to earn extra.

Yes because I don't want to work so hard when I am older. I want to save money as fast as I can because you cannot spend your life happy and relaxing when all the year you are working and still making money for you to survive on a day.

Well I think the same. When we are young we don't have to think of money but when we have realize the real value of money that's the point where we are going gaga over it to produce more because what we have in hand is not sufficient to us. Once we became focused we got indulged more into it and then you will realize that you are so into it already.

well yes, we need money to have a living for our famly and provide them with everyday needs and better future. missing the time too that i don't have to worry about money because money and living is provided by my parents. now, i really know and understand them very much. when they tell me to spend wisely, don't buy unnecessary things and just eat only healthy foods. it means they love you, they help you become wise people and they want you to just be healthy. money should be spent wisely so there will be reserves if ever something happened which is unplanned.

I definitely miss those simpler days when it wasn’t just about making money, paying bills and basically being free as a bird to do as I want when I wanted. It sort of makes me laugh that so many people put more emphasis on making more money both online and off, rather than living within their means. It’s something which I was forced to learn and as such I am happier than when my main emphasis was all about earning more just so that I could spend more.

I know I am gaga for making extra money....now a days, everyone has to be. I go online and make my few little dollars here and there which when it all adds up at the end of the month, I am able to get the little "extras" I don't seems to normally have the month for. Where I do love to save a buck and I am great at finding super deals....I don't like the fact that these days I HAVE TO save money. What used to be a wonderful hobby of mine (to see where and how I was going to get that great bargain)...is now a necessity.

In my situation, I am not working outside the home, so anything I can make online is really helpful. The thing of it is, with the economy being the way it is, things cost a lot more than they used to, so therefore, money doesm't go all that far, so anything I can make over my fixed income is a bonus and will help me in these trying times. Sure it isn't a lot of money, but it is money nonetheless, so whatever I can make is just extra. I have had a hard time lately, but that is going to change this week, when I will have enough money to get me out of debt and I will be able to live my life a little easier, and I can hardly wait, as I do live alone, and have to do it all on m own. I know I will make it now though. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

You hit the nail on the head when you said we all need money, especially nowadays with the economy being what it is. Everybody is trying to make as much money as they can because they're unsure about what the future holds. Nobody is quite sure if it's going to get worse or if the value of money is going to decline due to inflation. Are we going to enter a depression? I think that's why people are so focused on making more money now. I know what you mean about missing days when money didn't matter and life was just a breeze. For me, that's an awfully long time ago. I started working when I was 16 years old and have been working ever since, but I do remember those days of my youth when the only thing I worried about was how much fun I was going to have during summer vacation. Ah, the good ol' days...

Yes the good old days I miss it too. Summer vacation was one of the things I look forward to each month. How much fun I was going to have, reuniting with old friends I have not see in such a long time. I could understand now why Peter Pan never wanted to grow up hahaha with growing up comes a lot of responsibilities and that means also having bills to pay. When wall street crashed it was a very bad time for everyone and it also affected the world economy. In my opinion though the world market crashing down is a multi- faceted factor. It has something to do with the war in Iraq as the U. S government was driven into billions of debt because of the war. Trade in one part of the globe was down so it shook trading relations everywhere in the world. People lost their jobs, houses and everything else. So then it's not surprising if everyone is going gaga in making a bit more of money.

When we were young, someone else (our parents) were "quite focused in making more it (money)", and we (as kids) didn't have a clue. Now we're (the parents) the ones quite focused in making more money, and the kids don't have a clue, just like we didn't, when we were kids. It's just we're older now, and now we're the ones that have to pay the bills, buy shoes for the kids, etc.

ya that's right, everybody is going a bit gaga about money making, but i dont blame anyone as its a practical necessity and not everyone has all that they would like to have , so its infact a positive thing to see that everyone will like to make a positive change in their lives. but yes it becomes a little too much sometimes for you to think about it all the time. cheers .. .

Well, it depends what "gaga" we are talking about. That "Lady" Gaga is makin' a whole lotta sardines. Why didn't some drag queen grab a blonde wig and beat her to the stage and bank. i mean really. Britney Spears,Miley Sirus and now Lady Gaga. Oy! Why don't they all just become a female equivalent to the backstreet boys? They could call them the "Backstreet Girls." Or maybe, the "Gutter Girls." So sick of blondes or wannabe blonde acting all slu++y and dumb, mostly because they are slu++y and dumb...... As for money...money makes the world AND Lady Gaga(Lady Gag-me)go around. But yeah, sometimes it is annoying. But then, mylot has those great categories and the search function to go to topics you may be more interested in. In these times, like everyone I know and my family are unemployed. So, money is totally important. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go buy a blonde Lady Gaga wig off ebay and go bribe the judges of American Idol.

I'll just say that reducing my expenses, and living within my means, has greatly reduced the 'money money money' aspect of my life. Sure I'd like to have more, as anyone would. But because I'm not steeped in bills and debt, and credit cards, it's not as big a burden as it used to be.

I sure wish I could just spend one day not thinking about earning more.. But I really can't cause I have bills to pay, and I have to eat, and rely on my own to live.. I miss the times when I just wait for sundays, cause that is when I would get my allowance from my dad. LOL. But after I graduated, I had to live on my own, and rely on my salary to live.. I never ask for anymore money from my parents, cause I know that they have done their part, and I should not ask for more...

By growing older, needs and responsibilities adds up and, a realization that one could not or should not be too dependent on others to sustain his life. To support these needs and obligations you should have financial resources, how?...earn, earn and earn money through any legitimate way you can. Hence, finding ways to earn is not merely an obsession but a gauge of how one has matured in life.
