I asked the receptionist if she would check what time my Thursday appointment was. "Tomorrow", she replied. I'm so glad i went to check or I would have missed it I went this morning and my teeth were fine but, I couldn't help wondering if maybe it wasn't the dentist I really needed!! So, do you miss appointments or do you have to double check the timings?

Hello my friend I am usually pretty good at this, but its always good to double check what does it hurt, my sister did this recently and found out they changed her appointment without any notification which really stinks, so with that said it's always good to be safe then sorry Thanks.

They told me I was late when I went for a blood test last week. They said my appt was 8.35am but the receptionist had given me a card on which she'd written 8.40. (Good to see you back by the way.... hadn't seen you around for a bit - hope you are ok )

Hello my friend I have a new grand baby so I have been busy with her, she came a little early so I could not focus on mylot until I knew she was o.k, she is doing great 4months and getting really big, she makes my day so that is why I was not here, but I am back so you will see me around more often. Really good to exchange thoughts with you, keep the discussions coming. Thanks.

hi wizzywig I usually check and double check, but this one morning Ihad it in my mind it was the day of my physical therapy for my shoulder joint replacement, tues at ten am. So of course I overslept, having my lot a lot more than I should have, then got up and was dressing when the access bus had pulled up behind my apt, and the driver was honking his horn. 9:30 oh my g. I yelled at my son, go tell him I will be there in a minute. so got in the bus, only a ten minute trip. oh yeah? well the street was being tor n up by a huge bulldozer so they motioned to us to wait, then the roller rolled the dirt down, and we were allowed to move over one car at a time. ok ay got upstairs to the physical therapy center thirty minutes late. I was puffing, and gasped out sorry I am late. She looked at me, smiled then laughed. She said," Actually Mrs. Hatley you are two days early, your appt is thurs morning at ten a,m." no I said, as I dug in my purse for my appt reminder, it says right here,uh um oh dear thurs at ten a,m. So I had to go back home after waiting for the bus to come b ack, and wait until thurs. always pays to recheck.

Ooops! I got up at 5.30 one morning, got ready and went to work. I looked in the diary to see which area I was working in and my name wasnt there. Then I checked the rota... & my name wasnt there.... I'd looked at the date without checking the day and had misread my shift on the 15th as being on 13th (obviously it WAS Friday 13th...) - so,I went home again. It turned out ok as I managed to get my car in for service that morning and went out for lunch with my mum. So, at least I didnt waste my day off.

I rarely miss appointments, but it's been known to happen. Usually the ones that don't call to confirm are the ones where I've forgotten to note the appointment on my calendar!
