Younger or Older?

Hi mylotters, Do you prefer younger or older as your partner in life or boyfriend/girlfriend? For me I do not look at the age. In my past my ex-boyfriends are older than me 3-5years and some are younger than me 1year. And my current boyfriend which is the one I really love is 1 year younger than me and it doesn't affect our relationship. Some say that it is great that if the man is 3 years older than you blah blah blah. I just can't understand is love is based on age? For me no as long as you love the person.

age is not the issue... maturity is. a person could be well advanced in years but still acts like a kid and one who is young maybe mature for his age.

My partner is a great deal younger than I am and we have been together almost six years now. We are getting married in May, so age makes no difference to us

I think the world has changed in views quite a bit from the olden times. These days age is no longer a factor. My husband is 4 years older than me but it's like we are the same age. I don't see a difference.

Honestly speaking, when I was yet younger and full of fantasy about love,I used to say that age doesn't matter and that love is the most important thing.I carried on that belief for quite a long time. Then, eventually I fell in love and pursued marriage. My belief about love leads me to find a younger man, not a big age gap though but still younger than me.I became older and then things surfaced and my belief about age doesn't matter was shaken a bit.Only a bit though. In asia,we looked up for man as the leader in the family. And this culture made me realize something. And that is having an older man probably would live up to this kind of culture.I am very happy with my man of course I could say that again and again.Though being him younger means I shouldn't load all things upon him but also help more on everything. And I have accepted that because of the love which I know is the main ingredient in our relationship. So, it's an individual's choice with a consequence to be embraced.Younger or older, it's up to you.

I'd prefer an older man because I beleive that he got more experience about life so our relationship will be guided.

It's not really so much as the age but the maturity that comes with age. Biologically, women mature faster than men, generally speaking. So it is logical to think that women would connect more with those men who are in the same level of maturity as they are, and that would usually be those men who are older. It does of course differ with the individual person and it is a case to case basis since there are men who mature faster and women who mature later. I guess the number of age does not matter but the level of maturity that comes with age does. That's just what I think anyways.

If two people are truly in love than what does a number matter. My father was 20 years older than my mother and they were happy all their lives. Like any relationship, some will last and some will not and age rarely has anything to do with it; some people are just not meant to be together. It's the people we call family and friends who always have the problem with our other half, we can't live by their expectations, if we did we'd have nothing.

Age doesn't matter for me. Because when you love someone you just felt it. If you looked at the age maybe it is not love. No matter who she is or he is you just love him/her the way they are and whatever age/ old they are.
