Strawberry Jam

Instead of buying one bottle at US$2, why not cook it yourself. You'll be spending less but ending up with 2 bottles more.. Ingredients: 1 Kg fresh strawberries (ripe or green or damaged, doesn't really matter) 1/2 kg brown sugar Procedure: Remove the leaves and the rotten portion if you find one. Wash strawberries in running water In a casserole, combine sugar and strawberries together, and cook until it boils. Once boiling, simmer it down and remove bubbles continuously from the top surface. When you see the syrup thickening, let it continue boiling for 2 more minutes, and you're done.

Where are you from? I dont udnerstand why, because buying strawberry is actually more expensive then buying strawberry jam in my country, but thanks for sharing anyway.

I am from La Trinidad Benguet, Philippines. It is a place where strawberries are abundant. Thanks for your comment anyway..
