I must say the thing that I love must about being a libertarian is associating with such great free thinkers. I think one reason that there is so much thought process in the libertarian movement is because we do not force people to do what we want them to do. We use words and logic while others us guns and bullets. I came upon this blog called the Libertarian Girl a year or so ago. She does not post on a regular bases but when she does the post does make you think. I have not been on her blog for a while, but last week I went on and noticed a post called You’re Probably Not a Real Libertarian. She writes about the correlation between libertarianism and vegetarian. Now I am not going vegetarian but she does make some good points. One thing if you do read the article understand that she wrote the article back in November so the article has a lot of references to Thanksgiving. http://www.libertariangirl.com/2009/11/26/youre-probably-not-a-real-libertarian/

I had to eat vegatarian for about a week prior to my gall bladder surgery. Anything with more than a couple grams of fat (which is pretty much any meat or dairy product) would cause my gall bladder to swell painfully. Without a doubt, it was the worst week of my life, particularly because vegan food tastes disgusting. So, yeah, I don't see myself going vegetarian, nor do I see how that nullifies my being a libertarian (or classical liberal, whichever).

Thanks for sharing that blog. I put in on my watch list so I can see when she posts. I don't see myself going vegetarian. I like meat too much. LOL.
