I'm a BS Information Technology student, and I keep on failing my major subjects until I got to my second year, so I planned to shift to another course which is Bachelor Of Arts in Communication which is what I actually like ever since. But the problem is I can't change my course if I still have a failing subject. And this semester, I got so lazy with my studies I think I'm going to fail again. I'm so tired being a student. I don't want to study anymore, but my mom is pushing me. She wants me to finish college as soon as possible but it's so hard for me. All I want is just be a model. I don't even feel I need to finish college.

I am in my eighth year as a college student as of this year and I'm still not graduating, I think I need two-three years more. I didn't even shift to any course. I'm not influencing you to take as much time in college as I have and still am, all I'm saying is just try to finish it as soon as possible. Being sick of studying is normal, I think everybody who graduated already and has a degree now felt the same way atleast once in their academic life, and if you ask me, I'm like so so so so so sick of studying, but then again I still have to get a degree. It's for the future. Think about it, think about where you'll be ten to fifteen years from now. I'm not even planning to practice my course of profession if ever I get to graduate. I'm just in it for a promise I made and for the title it holds. I've been to where you are now and I must beg of you, make the most out of your life. You're still young, don't make the same mistakes I did. Finish college and have a better future. Have something to show the world or even just for yourself. You can do it. We can do it!

well, even if you shift your major to bs.comm if you have still this attitude to you'll still have failing grade, find something that motivates you, your mom is right and your lucky to have mom who wants you to finish your college, i was once like you, i shifted my major for two times and still have that attitude which i regret now, but i still manage myself to have better future..think of your future, find something that will motivates you in your study, if your tired or bored is ok to lossen up but remember to return to study mode afterwards...

Hi!I'm also a college student! I find there are some difficultes for me, but I know I must to overcome it, I try every method I thought out and heard, I'm very glad it works! I think you should have some communications with your classmates who are good at study and your friends, you'll get some good methods from them! Best whish for you!

I used to be like you when I was student. I initially took BA Journalism but got tired of that course and eventually shifted to Community Development. When I was a student I also used to say that I'm sick and tired of being a student. I finished College after 6 1/2 years. I alo failed some of my subjecst as I'm not attending my classes at all. I just spend my time hanging out with my sisters in the Sorority and brothers in the Fraternity. I used to party and drink a lot. There was even one semester that my parents thought I was enrolled. They gave me tuition fee, I go to school everyday and I they gave me regular allowance but I did not enroll at all. After 4 years I eventually realized I have to straighten out my self or else I'd grow old with a bleak future. Now that I'm already working how I miss the days that I'm still a student.

All I can say is that there will come a point in your life that you would finally realize how important education is to you and to your future. However, don't study just for the sake of getting a diploma. I suggest you shift to a course that you are more interested in. You can only do that if you would do good in your study so that you will have a chance of shifting to that course that you really like. Make this as your drive and inspiration to get good grades.

My Dear, I know how difficult this is for you. Maybe this course is not suited for you. I was once like you so I know how you feel. This maybe hard but try to finish the course otherwise you will be miserable all your life. Trust me, I know. Focus on the solution. Think of it that you need to do this or rot! Do not think of this as a punishment. Instead, think of it as the only way out of your solution. Remember: "People do not plan to fail. They just fail to plan" "Producers are not complaining. Complainers are not producing."

I think your mother is right in pushing you because a degree in your chosen field will be a big factor someday. You study more because it will benefit you as an II, it pays well. In applying job a degree holder is a must and other will praise you not because you are a model because you have dignity & courage to finish a course. Are you inclined with that course, Don't get tired because after studies, you will work to the max & you will miss your chances to prove to other people you have guts to finish college education.

So far as i'm concerned, your problem is you do not take a right attitude toward everything you do, no matter it is something that holds your interest or bothers you. You mentioned you want to shift from BS information to communication which in which you are interested, but then you said all you want to do is to be a model. What on earth are you interested? But this is not the biggest problem. The point is whatever you do, you need knowledge or you'll never succeed. Many people prejudice against models and think them dumb. This is not totally unreasonable. Most models are ignorant of basic knowledge. All they care about is fashion. Do you want to be a stupid model or a smart one with good knowledge? Make your own choice.

This was the case with my friend too. He was not interested in studies and wanted to become an artist. He kept failing in major subjects. But one day our professor came to him and sought out the problem. The course we were studying was BS Software Engineering. So he told this guy to concentrate in computer graphics and gave him a neat demo of how he could draw with computers, ever since he got the fire and is now one of the toppers in our university

Hey beautiful, All of first I must say if this is your own picture than, you have pretty cool Modeling features. So you can be a good Model. But studying also important, But In case you should go with some other technical course related to Modeling, like film making or photography related or any other that can help you in the age where you will not be able to work efficiently as model. If the matter is to convince you MOM then ask her that you will try to complete your BS some how but allow you to work in the field where you are interested in and tell here after this BS pls allow me to be what I want to be. Above all parents comes, so you can't hurt them also, so don't try any fully , im-matured activity that may ruin everything, See honey I am writing such words, just because your age (20) is really very critically dangerous. if you find your self in any confusion remember your friends are here to help, you can PM also. Best of luck.!!! Keep you cool and all will go well!!!

Set a Goal. If you go to school and you do not know what to be or who you want to be after those college days, you would surely feel like you are now. If you want to be a model, you can do it part- time. I know many model students in college days. You can arrange your modeling job not to conflict with your studies. A friend of mine even won 3 beauty contests (local & national) while she was still in the university. She used to model for clothes too. I think it is just a matter of time management and of course, setting priorities. Good Luck!
