Do you have failures and regrets in life?

As a human I believe that we all have failures and regrets in life. Failed to success, failed to love, failed the exams and etc. Me myself failed, I failed to give my parents more better life, before when I was single I dreamed and I promised a better life for my parents, but it didn't happen cos I was tempted by love and make mistakes, And now I regret. My husband say to never regret something that once made you smile. But deep inside me I know I made the biggest mistake in my life. Sometimes the littlest thing in life changes something forever and there will be times when I wish I can go back to how things used to be but I just can't because things have changed so much. Can you leave it all behind? cause you can't go back?

When I go back into the past events of my life there are things that I wish I could have done and things that I wish I never did. I had encounter failures along the way- different types of failures and frustrations. However, it made me a better person that I am today. I made a lot of mistakes but it made me learn along the way. I could always go back to those mistakes I did, failures I encountered and also happy thoughts and memories. Sometimes I feel like wanting to go back to some events of my life and change it. However, I don't totally regret what has happened to my life. I had some failures but also have more success. I make each new day a better one compared to the previous day as I know I can no longer go back once that day is over.

I understand how you feel about that part of your life. Actually, I had the same issue before. My parents are hardworking people and because of them my siblings and I were able to graduate in College and get a good job. I also made a promise to my self that I'd make my parents life better but then it never happened as I now have a family of my own with two kids. I know your parents would understand. No matter what happens you will always be their daughter and I know that what they want right now is for you to have a good life with your own family. It's the same for my parents. They told me that if I want to repay them for the good things they did for me and my siblings then we can do so by making sure we become responsible and loving parents to our children and ensuring we give them a better future.

Experiencing failure in life is as normal as growing old. We cannot control events and everything that surrounds us so no matter how we try to make our life take the course we want it to, it sometimes takes a sudden unexpected turn. Sometimes what is even consider as failure at the moment turns out to be a "blessing in disguise" which one will only realize latter. Lets just learn the lessons these failures has taught us to make us stronger and wiser persons next time.

hi namiya It might be a blessing in disguise cos I have my son now, with out him im nothing,I believe that if there's no pain, there would be no suffering, without suffering we would never learn from our mistakes. To make it right, pain and suffering is the key to all windows, with out it, there is no way of life. How I wish I could forget and just learn from my mistakes.thanks for sharing your thoughts. have a wonderful day

yes myramae your son is the best reason not to regret too much. Besides, there are still plenty of means to help your parents despite being married. Just let them feel your love even in simple ways that you can. Enjoy being a mother.

There are many failures in my life but few regrets. I feel that I failed to have a highly paid and successful career but then again I was happy in the job that I did. I feel I failed in my married life, but I have a wonderful son. I regret that I didn't make more of the opportunaties when I was younger but I very much doubt I would really make any major changes in my decisions. There is little point in looking back with regrets, you can only go forwards.

I think it's quite impossible for a person to not regret or fail at something important during their life. The world is too full of possibilities, and you really never know where the road will lead you. Obviously, being a normal person just like everyone else, I definitely have many failures and regrets, more than I can count. My biggest one right now is making the decision to not study hard for my term finals in December, which ended up in me failing every single exam. Luckily I still passed the course, so it's not all that bad. The one bad thing is I must try much harder now to bring my marks back up, cause those exam marks are going to hurt in the long run. Which really brings me back to reality, and how I have a midterm exam tomorrow that I should really study for.

Hi Definitely we will do mistakes in one stage or the other and face failures and regrets in life. Even I am not the exception. But past is past. What is the use of repenting by going back to the events. thinking that failures are the stepping stones for success, go ahead and I am sure, you won't repeat the history again. Whatever happened is happened. Atleast now try to take good care of your parents, and your family my friend. Cheers and have a nice day

i know everyone does its own failures, and some of us didn't find ways and some of us just didn't even tried to solve it...the only thing i could say about your case, is that you can still give your parents a better life even if you're already married, why don't you give them a financial support or give them a small business that they could work unto, so that they could have an additional income aside from their current source. don't let your mistakes or married life situation be the reason or hindrance in helping your parents yet make it as a driving urge that even if you had already your own still they could count on you and still have a life that you've once promised. it may not be as best, but at least better off than nothing.

Yes, ever since they have their small business, my mom has her own and my dad also has his little business.. But my dream is to make them financially stable and I want them to stop working and just stay at home and enjoy life with their grand children..but my mom said that she enjoy working on her business than stay at home thanks yra1026 and welcome to mylot

well, yes. its all part of growing up. besides, we will never appreciate life fully if we will not experience these things. though there are lots of regrets, whats important is that we try to move on, set-aside those failures and focus on whats left to do to make life better.

I agree with you, to focus on whats left to make life better. thanks for responding

yes your right, i also wish that i can go back to change some part of my life but of course i cnt. i guess every one of us have failures and regrets in life but what matter is we learned a lot from them. i know i failed my parents a lot when i got pregnant without the father of the child knowing they trusted me that much. i failed their trust towards me. i also have regrets of giving my self to someone whose not deserving to have it and so im the only one whose suffering right now. but then i will try to fix things out and wish this time i can do better than better things in my life or perhaps the best.

Like you I also got pregnant, and because of that I had sacrificed my work abroad cos I need to go back home to give birth to my baby, Good thing is the father of my baby is very supportive, responsible and he truly loves me..we got married 2 days after I gave birth But the opportunity to work, to help with my parents was gone

I think we all have failures and regrets in our lives. We wouldn;t be human if we didn't Fsiling is sometimes the first step in succeeding. Regrets are choices we didn't make or ones that we should. If we all take the time, we can think of ways that we have failed or regretted a decision. These are things that make us the people we are today.

I guess the only thing you can do in this world is to move forward. I really believe the philosophy: "Scare not even if your foot steps are slower but be scared if you don't walk at all." I guess not everyone can get over their regret, but I believe that everyone must keep going even with regrets.

If only we can turn back times, to correct everything..But we really can't past is past,.some will be able to forget and just leave it all behind, but some also will dwell for a long time cos they can't accept their failures.

Dear friend, I hope failure is part of life. As we all are humans and no human is perfect. Moreover regretting is the emotional part of human expression of feelings. I do regret when failure comes and sometimes not if the failure has not given any hurt. But I do try to make myself to commit any failures intentionally so that I could no more get regretted.

I have a few failures in life but I can't say that I regretted those failures in my life. Mistakes are a part of my life and regretting them will only result in me dwelling on those mistakes for a very long time. Although I've made some mistakes in life I still think those mistakes I made were for the best. It made me who I am right now and I've learned from those mistakes that I made in the past. So to me I don't dwell to much on those mistakes. I leave them behind and learn from them.

Hi myramae, Who has not seen failure in life? Every one of us has seen some failure in some area. But all of us learn from our failure and with lessons learned from failure, we live life in better way. I agree with you, that when we fail to take care of our loved ones, our Parents, our childrens, etc, as we wanted to take care, the feeling of guilt always remain with us. But we must come out of that and try to plan better future for them. Keep Smiling.
