hi friends. about a year and half ago,a very upset ganguly announced that he is going to retire from test and one day cricket after the final test again australia. why people retire from cricket? 1.they are too old to keep up with the game. 2.they have other ambitions like starting their own business. 3.you can fill it. i dont think ganguly started any business but what i have seen him do is play domestic cricket? if it is a dravid or laxman, who only plays the longer format, plays domestic cricket,we can say that they are trying to keep their good form in cricket. but why ganguly is doing it? planning for a big blast at IPL 3? I DONT THINK SO. that guy still loves the game and i believe if there is a chance to play for india again,he might break down the great wall of china to play for the national team.

Saurav Ganguly is a great player no doubt about it and India certaily miss him in cricket. But one thing we need to understand is he was no longer in form when he decided to quit the game. Also his image was not good because of his off the field issues - tug with Jagmohan Dalmia, affair with Nagma ect. Without being in the form and staying in the team means you are snatching the opportunities of the yougsters. Thanks to him, because of his exit we are able to see some good youngsters performing for India and are also seeing India doing very well in the game of cricket.
