my poor fox terrior had to be in the boarding kennel for 1 month during my vacation, when i come back he came back, I noticed he has catched ticks from the kennel. He has never catched any ticks before, because i was taking care of him so well...and now, look at him, scratches constantly and visibly thin. my poor boy, what can I do!

Have you taken him to a groomers or removed all of the ticks yourself? This would be the first step to his recovery. If he is still covered in ticks that would be a reason for him appearing thin and scratching. If all of the ticks have been removed and he is still in bad condition then you need to get him to the vets office to be tested for Lymes Disease or anything else that the ticks in your area my carry. You can also help him out by feeding him a higher protien feed, even a puppy food to help him gain back some of the weight that he has lost. Also, contact the boarding kennel. Verify with them if they knew that they had a tick infestation and if so why they did nothing about it while your dog was in their care. This may be a crimnal act on their behalf. Consider contacting animal control or the ASPCA in your area if you feel other dogs may be in danger.

Hi, You can take him to the vet. He will tell you what to do. Otherwise brush your dog daily. Hopefully he will stop scratching . Please do show him to the Vet.
