Why are maintaining relations such hard work?

So I've noticed that people seem to be so busy these days that they don't have time to return phone calls, emails, texts etc. Unless they are trying to tell me something by not responding. I feel it's getting harder to maintain relations these days. I call my friend, she doesn't answer. Then when she calls me, I'm too busy to answer, then I call her back and the cycle keeps going. It takes so long just to get in touch that sometimes I forget what it was that I was calling her about. Sometimes it takes days for her to return my calls and I just want to give up. Why is it so difficult to stay in touch?

Hi Elsa, I do not think we don't even have time to return a call, its just that we are either too preoccupied with our work and personal issues. Not returning a call is just a habit of forgetting, maybe because of the stress we face in our daily routine. I know this may sound odd or stupid, most of us including me, we all fail in Time Management, we never allot ourselves time for our personal activities, we are so stressed with work or listing to other problems, I think if we allot ourselves sufficient time in all these fields, we can surely not only call back friends but we also can reunite with our family & older friends too.

Hi Elsa, time management is needed both places, either in friends, family, relationship or at work, all have their needs, it depends on us how do we cope up with it.

as you've said, many people nowadays are too preoccupied with their own life, busy with their career and have different priorities. i think, these are just the few reasons why it is hard to keep in touch nowadays, even though hi technology gadgets are already available for communication.
