I wonder this, because alot of times people get a warning from their doctor, and they don't even listen to the doctor.I wouldn't think they are concerned about their health. My uncle got alot of warnings to eat healthier and to stop smoking. He didn't listen and now he died from his bad health.I even wonder what makes someone not even care that they may die from something they don't listen to from their doctor?Do you care about your health and take doctors advice?

ther are people that are really like that thinking that they knows best than their doctor as they still feel strong and active. i guess the only thing that will stop them is if they are already dying in bed. as for me health is still important specially if i dont have much money coz im sure if i got sick i need money to pay doctor, medicine and hospitalization.

I do care about my health and most of the times, I play the doctor for myself.. I mean, I do smoke a little and I know its disadvantages... And so as to remain fit, I exercise regularly... It may sound strange to others, but I don't have many other options...
I think, one should take any warning from the family doctor seriously... Because a family doctor is the one who is very well acquainted to the facts related to the health of all family members and his judgment would be the last upon such matters...
Have fun!

Of course I care about my health but I'm not going to listen to most of the advice that is given by the media, only my doctor. First butter was bad for you and now it's not, then coffee was bad and now it's not. They can't make up their minds. I'm going to use my common sense and listen to my body--and my doctor, if I ever get one.

hi java yes there are so many people like that, my own hubby was a prime example. after his first heart attack his doctors warned him that he must stop smoking and if he did he had a good chance to live for many more years. but he did not stop smoking at all, til finally he had one humongous heart attack, was hospitalized, had two more and the second one killed him. yes I care about my health and try to t ake my doctors advise but when they just say lose weight and quit eating, thats not a bit helpful what they should do is help you to figure out what to do to lose all that weight.

I remember my uncle kept smoking and eating food that had alot of fat in it.then his artery clogged again,he just didn't survive his last surgery to unclogg his arteries. It was sad ,but he was warned about it.His wife didn't even change what she fed him.She cooked such greasey and fattening food for him to eat.I didn't understand that.I just thought what is wrong with her?He also didn't quit smoking.I care about my own health and I would listen to the doctor when he tells me something for my health.

My health is an utter mess, and it's rare that I see just one doctor. I have a couple of medical conditions that could ultimately be treated by a family care physician. However, on a local level, neither doctor that I have seen about my condition has so much as bothered to read about it from a book, on the internet, or even contact my former specialists about the matter. As a result, I don't always follow the advice of just one doctor without seeking the advice of another, as well as doing personal research. When I first became ill, I was treated for a medical condition that I was *believed* to have had, but did not. My condition continued to get worse, so they continued pumping me full of specific medications. As it turns out, my condition was getting worse because I was misdiagnosed, allergic to the medications that I was being giving and having a bronchial allergic reaction to them, as well as the treatments interfering with my body's own natural abilities to prevent infection and slow illness.
So no, I don't always follow a doctor's advice.
