Do you want to lose the weight fast or do you want to lose it the healthy permanent way? I hope that you want to do the latter. Losing weight really is a simple equation. Calories taken in must be less than calories that are burned off. Stop eating fast foods and processed foods and eat food that will nourish your body. Start with small changes. This is a lifestyle change not a quick fix. Eat a little bit of protein with each meal. Work your way up to 8 glasses of water a day. Incorporate 9-11 servings of fruit and veggies a day. Replace the starches in your diet with whole grains. The second thing that you have to do is exercise. Work your way up to 20 minutes a day of weight training. It will tone and strengthen your muscles and along with a sensible diet will bring your body fat percentage to a healthy level. You'll also want to work your way up to 45 minutes a day of cardio. Go to the gym, walk, run, ride a bike, swim. It doesn't have to be work. It should be fun. Best of luck to you.

I was even entertaining the thought of taking medications, but with what you said, I guess I would just have to go with dieting and exercise. thanks.

i have 2 ways.. one the unhealthy way, one the almost healthy way. unhealthy way: personally, when i was still a student, my sleeping hours are owl hours. means i sleep really early in the morning like 4 - 5am and wake up at say 1 - 2pm. THis means i skip breakfast and lunch. Because when i just wake up, i don't like to eat. So i tend to wait till 6pm before i eat my dinner. And that is ALL i have a day. So for that period, i was shedding quite a bit. healthy way: count your calories, eat less carbs, eat before 6pm, drink a cup of lime/lemon juice with warm water every morning before eating. Eat 6 small meals instead of 3 big meals (quite hard to estimate for me personally).

It seems from your picture if that is you that you are a person that exercises, it looks like you are toned. In this respect it should not be a problem to exercise. I really do not "diet" I just try to eat what ever I want then exercise. this way it builds your metabolism up to where it can burn calories by sweating and adding heat to the inside of your body. This is hard to explain, I believe you know what I am trying to say. Besides this if you can sleep at night with a blanket that will be another way to loose weight by sweating without exercise. If you are not inclined to those two suggestions, then try to leave salt out of your diet, and concentrate on natural foods and plenty of water, instead of soda or alcahol. good eating. lowloy

DIET is easy to say but hard to do. People say they will under gone diet but after a few months or weeks their weight are still the same and they even gained more weight than before. So I think the fastest and easiest way to lose weight is not to sleep for 48 hours lol just kidding but based on my experience I've done it. Just don't have too much sleep that make you lose weight or even if you are too much stressed.

That would be very difficult for me because I tend to sleep a lot. Thank you very much for this piece of advice.

The fastest way to lose weight is by simply not eating. However, if you go for a couple days without eating anything or just very little, you're body is going to be ready to store everything you eat as fat once you start eating again (in other words, you'll probably gain weight back if you "diet" that way). The most effective way to lose weight is to reduce the normal amount of food you eat and go out and excericise. The amounts all depend on your lifestyle and your body type; think of it as a life style change and not a "Diet" that you go "on" and "off" of.

i'm never a fond of dieting. what i know is that not eating will absolutely decrease one's weight. that's the most effective means of losing one's weight. but who would want that? i think you're asking what food would be most recommended for you...right?

I wont never ever do that. Eating nothing at all is just like killing yourself slowly. Noway! I dont wanna get ulcers.
