Obama has changed his healthcare bill sence the healthcare summitt. He said he has taken out somethings and put in some "republican" ideas. I want to read the bill for myself BEFORE I make up my mind on it. Anyone seen a copy of it online? Where has it been put up at? I have checked my usual sources and have not found it yet.
Thanks.

I haven't seen the bill either, but I'm guessing I know what's in it. And I'm guessing, I still won't like it. I won't like it until they start over and do it, "itsy bitsy spider...itsy bitsy" (as Pelosi so eloquently put it), steps at a time. What's wrong with a building block approach? Lay a solid foundation and then build on it! It would start with fixing Medicare, SCHIP, etc.

They won't start over because they have already spent a year on it and they want it over with. they are beyond caring if it is right or even going to help...they just want to be able to say they got something, anything done on healthcare.

He better release the whole thing soon. I want a chance to read the whole thing BEFORE it is voted on.
I don't want to just hear a speech on it....I want to read it and make up my own mind.
But it would not surprise me if he does not release it until right before the vote so NO ONE has a chance to read it. Won't be the first time they have done that.

I am listening to Obama's speech right now. I am not hearing what I want to hear. Like the 40% on premium plans and the mandatory coverage. If those get taken out I MAY be ok with this plan depending on what else in it.
But if the 40% tax is still in it and the mandate is still in it....I can't support it.
Of course Obama has not even mentioned those two things so I don't know if they are still in the bill. Which means I have to find the bill and read it.
