Absurdity

I read in an article a bit ago, that until recently, the state of Illinois required hair braiders to have 1,500 hours of training, as well as to carry a cosmetology license. Recently, that amount was dropped to 300 hours.
In contrast, the state of Illinois requires no driver's training to receive a driver's license if the applicant is over the age of 18; and if under 18, less than 60 hours of classroom instruction, and a minimum of 50 hours of actual behind the wheel instruction.
Does anyone else find this fact extremely disturbing?

You're not getting the big picture.
The driver's education law to receive 50 hours of training was put into motion only a couple of months ago.
How is someone driving 1.5 Tons of steel and fiberglass at you down the road at 70 miles per hour with only 50 hours of training vs having to have 1500 hours of training just to braid hair NOT disturbing? What is braiding someone's hair wrong gonna do? Cause some frizz? What is driving a car improperly going to do? Hurt someone. You do the math.
