Has anyone ever gone on a Caribbean Cruise?

I'm not going on one or anything, but I was just wondering about something. In these restricted travel times would a U.S. citizen have to have a passport to go on a Caribbean cruise? What if they were not going on shore except at U.S. territories? Anyone been on bone recently and know what the requirements are?

I went on one and yes, you do need a passport if the ship is stopping at a foreign port. They didn't give us an option as to whether we chose to get off or not...
