Did you know that we invaded Iraq in response to 9/11?

This is according to Karl Rove in his soon to be released book "Courage and Consequence". I was always told that they had WMD's, they were bad people, and they did try to kill Bush's daddy. But, Rove feels that this was the most momentous act of Bush's presidency and the right response to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. What do you think of this?

There is plenty of evidence linking Iraq to the events of 9/11. Al quaeda operatives who carried out 9/11 were trained in Iraq with Sadaam Hussein's full cooperation. WMDs were also confiscated and shipped out of Iraq. None of this was widely publicized because of security clearance issues. The Bush administration was definitely above endangering his operatives to gain a good photo op and vindication from the world to prove that he was right about WMDs. He had class and conducted the presidential office with discretion. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/iraq/1449442/Terrorist-behind-September-11-strike-was-trained-by-Saddam.html http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/07/07/iraq.uranium/index.html

President Bush didn't out Valerie Plame. It was an indiscretion by the deputy secretary of state Richard Armitage.
