hi guys, ever since the time I had my thyroid glands removed my weight tripled and it has been a long journey in loosing weight. I have tried several of them and nothing worked. ahhh yup that is right. Lately I stumbled into a new one and I did loose weight. I also did not have the bad side effects that I experienced with the others I have tried. The main components of these pill is chitosan, lotus flower and melon peel. what are your experiences with weight los pills and have they been effective?

I have had many positive results from them but like one of the other post's states with your past issue you should consult your doctor. But back to them. Depending on the pill your taking and what else you are doing with it. I am actually just started on a weight loss strive and I put the pills in play with a good diet, regular exercise and drinking plenty of water. Since the start of Feb. I have went from 248.8 lbs down to my todays weight is 225.4 lbs. So I have good sucess with them. Now will they work for everyone no. The reason being is some people believe that if you take them they will do all the work themselves and that is not the case. They need to be added to a routine for them to even work a little bit. Now for people thinking they can take the pills and get results if you don't know what you are doing you should consult a doctor first before taking anything.

honestly, i can say they are NOT effective. But for you, since you have removed your thyroid glands, weight gain can become a problem -- given that thyroid glands execretes thyroisin which aids in fat buring and energy utilization of the human body. so for you, weight loss pills can be taken together with physician's prescriptions

I think that particularly in your case, you should speak to your doctor about weight loss before you take any sort of pill. Some diet pills are downright dangerous. I remember some years ago when everyone was thrilled with all of the results that they were getting with phen phen. That was until the FDA discovered that Phen Phen caused damage to heart valves. Honestly, I wouldn't consider taking a pill to loose weight.
