Who is the First SuperHero created? / myLot

I just wondering if who is the first superhero created by a human. For me when I was a child, I think superman is the first hero I've already known. Can anyone tell me who is the first superhero of all time. thanks (^_^)

I think that would be something from a very old religion. You know, like in Greek mythology, Hercules, Perseus, all superheros. But I would think it goes back way further than that. Back in the stone ages, when they might have thought the sun and the moon were superheroes, even. Created idols, I think, is a very very old practice. People love to have figures to look up to.

Hi Sheepie, I think you have the point. In greek mythology they consider as a hero like Hercules. I our times and elementary and high school. Seldom teacher will tackle about greek mythology. Thanks for your kind response. Have an excellent day.

hi! sorry for interrupting you, but I really don't think that the heroes from the Greek mythology are superheroes :) superheroes are heroes like batman, superman, the flash, mighty mouse, and the Greek heroes are just heroes- they are common humans or half human half Gods!

didnt hercules had super strenght? doesnt that makes him super? Other thing, batman dont have super powers yet he is a super hero, so in my opinion greek heroes could count as well.

in western contextt of it, i think it was SUPERMAN only, whereas in eastern or more specifically Indian context it will be HANUMAN.

While he might not have been the first super hero ever created, really, when you think of super heroes, Superman is the first name that really comes to mind. Truly he has paved the way for pretty much every super hero that has come along and has really revolutionized comic books as we know it today. I mean without Superman, would their be a Batman? Green Lantern? Flash? Wonder Woman? All of those iconic heroes and heroines have the Man of Steel to thank, as he paved the way for them. Even going over from DC to Marvel, we have people like Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Captain America, the X-Men and many others. Like I said, without Superman, super heroes as we know them today would not exist. He really paved the way in some cases. Are there other heroes before Superman? I would have to say there would be but he really is the first person we consider to be a traditional super hero.
