matching underwear

March 4, 2010 12:47pm CST
In some of our shops changing rooms they are not individual but communial and I feel very embarassed to go there and try something on as none of my underwear match. I would love to have a matching set of bra and pants but can never get them both in the same size to match. I will also go and buy a pack of 6 pants and so no matching bra. Does everyone have matching except for me? or dont they buy on impulse and only buy when they do have matching? I would love it if someone out there can tell me I am not the odd one out here as well as my underwear x

Nah you're not odd. A lot of people don't have a matching undies you know. Like myself, it is not all the time I gotta wear my matching undies. Usually I wear for special occasions. :) Besides, nobody's gonna take a peek inside and check if you're wearing matching undies or not.

I have matching bras and pants but they are few only. Anyways it really doesn't bother me if they match or not. What i'm after is the comfort of wearing them. Another thing is we don't have communal changing rooms in our country so i have the privacy when i will be trying on something.

hopefully all our communal changing rooms will slowly disappear.

I have never had matching underwear! That is a luxury reserved for people who can afford it, they are very expensive in my opinion and I have better ways of spending my money. So what if your underwear doesn't match?! You have underwear, that's what counts!

Nope. I try to have similar colors, but that's about it.

Does everyone that you see in there have matching undies? I bet they don't. No, most of mine dont match. Most people go out and find the bottoms on sale and get several pair, so they're not going to be a set. Start something new, don't worry if your undies match and be proud. Show you're not bothered, and others will fill free to do the same. I'm also glad we don't have a community room at the places I shop.

I would be seriously bothered about male communal changing rooms. I thought that only women and rugby players could cope with this. I guess that women are just as embarrassed about their bodies (but about different bits) as men are ... possibly more so, because the bits that men's underwear covers are men's main source of pride or shame, whereas women's underwear doesn't tend to cover (or hide) the things that most women are concerned about (in female company).

Sometimes I wear matching bras and underwear, and sometimes I do not. Sometimes I do not even wear a bra, which really makes it a lot easier to "match" with those underwear that are bought on an impulse that do not have a matching bra to go with them.

A lamb wearing a bra would look incredibly stupid (unless there was a reason for carrying something clandestine or illegal in the two cups).

I don't have this problem, as the bra and the pants could be choosen in different size, the shop normally mark the prices separately, so I can check if I can afford to buy matching underwear or I can just buy the bra. I also have bras with no pants would match, I would match them with pure color pants, the matching looks quite well.
