I have LENOVA R61 laptop with 1GB RAM and 120 GB hard disk. i am running VISTA business on it. I feel one GB RAM is just sufficient for normal operation. The speed is not excellent , i may change it shortly. What is configuration of your LAPTOP/COMPUTER? are u happy with its performance? or u plan to change it shortly?

Well man, My Desktop PC is combined of Pentium D Processor 2.8 Ghz, DDR2 512 RAM, 80 GB Samsung HDD, Sony DVD/CD Combo Drive, Samsung 17" CRT Monitor. Though there's no problem with my PC, I wish to change it with a faster one. I'm trying to save money so that I can get the new one as soon as possible. Have a nice day.

My computer's Dell Optiplex GX270, 512MB RAM and pentium 4 2600 MHz processor with XP professional... Although the specs don't look that bad, the thing sucks. Really much. I spend a lot of time on my computer every day and it's really annoying that almost all the time it's lagging badly. It takes about half an hour from startup to being able to use the internet. I've never been able to watch a single HD quality YouTube video without the thing severely lagging and almost crashing, high quality videos also cause a lot of trouble... I've tried everything to make it run better, from system cleanup to buying the second fastest internet connection in Finland. And it still sucks :D So I'm far from happy with it's performance... I'd love to buym a new computer but I don't have enough money to buy anything better, even used. So I guess I'll just have to try managing with this one until I get the money to buy something better:(

Hi friend, you can consider upgrading memory to 2 GB and buying a high speed media card, it may improve performance significantly, with little cost. All the best

Yeah, I know, thought of that as well. But I rather buy a new one since it is still possible to use this, even though it's pretty annoying sometimes :D But if I don't get money for a new PC soon, I'll upgrade this one for sure, I've had enough of this constant lagging :)

Once I have bought a computer/laptop or notebook, even if I am not satisfied with the performance, I have to bear with it for at least 3 years. I choose it myself. I can only blame myself for getting one sub-standard product. At most, I may do some upgrade.

Yep my computer right now is assembled by my options it is 2gb of ram 512 video, core 2 duo. I don't really buy branded desktop pc where in I have to change my specs to fit to the available specs they have. I really prefer assembled desktop PCs. I'm quite shock to hear that you are running vista on a 1gb ram that is like making an ant carry a book. I might exaggerating but vista is suited for rams 1gb up you should use Windows xp or Windows 7 because Vista is really really heavy. My sister had an acer laptop with a bundled vista. she had a 2gb and for me it was really slow. I adviced her to revert back to windows xp. I would really recommend you to change your os. In terms of picking laptops or desktops I always always do a research. on what is the latest specs and what laptop brand is know for durability and the type of OS i would use. You should always do that so that you won't be dissatisfied with your pc choice.

I have an ASUS X80Series 3GB RAM (planning to add another 2 gig ram on soon) 160GB HD Nvidia GEForce 7000m. I'm pretty much satisfied with it, but I still want to upgrade for some applications like adobe AE and premiere really eats those RAM. Also, I'm a little bit of a gamer, having a laptop with its own VidCard is ok with me :)

If I am a millionaire, I would buy THE best. Still, with my current finance, the laptop I got is quite satisfying. Sure, there are time I'm stressed out, but those moments are few than the moments where the laptop actually give me good services. So, yeah.

I have a COMPAQ C700 series it's a dual core, 1gb memory, 160gb HDD, 256 VGA memory, and running Win7, I'm not quite happy with the performance especially when It comes to graphic intensive application like photoshop, its because of the VGA card I know since laptop VGA can't be upgraded, but when it comes to other things like browsing, chatting, doing some office documents, watching movies,I don't have problem with my laptop.

Well, I am using a Toshiba laptop with a 2.5GB of Ram. I am satisfied with its performance. It used to have a 1 GB of ram prior to upgrading it. My operating system is windows 7 and I do find it great. So far, I have no plans of changing my laptop nor the specs since I am very much satisfied with it.

hi common, i have an HP pavilion and it is now around more than 2 years old, running vista home premium, physical memory 1 GB, AMD 1.8GHz and hard disc of 160 GB and it is running fine! gets sluggish a little if i play games but i am no more into them now, games i find a waste of time, rather give that time to someone else or come here online, good day.

Hi friend, I also find that playing games on PC/laptop is waste of time, particularly when there are so many better things that can be done on PC/laptop.

I used to have ACER and it happened in a two year time to buy two hard drives. Now it seems to be working fine but the CD-ROM has stopped working. I bought a new ASUS laptop and want to test and see if ASUS is more worth it than ACER.

ACER is good brand, your piece must have some problem, bad luck! AUS i am not aware, Let me know how is its performance!

Good evening common_man! I have a notebook, an Acer AspireOne. I like it very much because it is small and lightweight. I need that because I carry it a lot. But I wish it had a greater performance. At first it was OK but with a few programs I installed, it started to be slow and give me some problems. My lap has 1GB RAM and 150 GB on the hard disk, Its OK for me, I don't complain about that. Thou, because it is small, the processor is Atom and I know there are better ones! Well, I'm not planning on changing it so far. But you never know how much is it going to stay alive. You never know with technology! Best regards common_man. Keep posting always and forever, Libna.
