I don't know all too much about different phones but I have an LG Banter. It is simple and not a "smart-phone" or touch screen. It is just a basic phone. What I was going to say was that my brother who is a huge "tech" guy, has the Droid phone and he absolutely loves it. He talks about it all the time and shows me all these amazing things that he can do with it that I would never expect. I will probably also get a Droid when I want my next phone but I thought I would share this with anyone interested in phones because like I said, my brother is huge into technology and knows his stuff. He loves the Droid, so it must be good. :)

I have Verizons version of the Palm Pre (Palm Pre Plus), and the only problem I agree with you on is that the keyboard definitly is hard to use, I have to use the tips of my fingernails, but I've gotten used to it. The battery doesn't seem to be a problem for me though, If I don't use any apps my phone lasts 2 days without charging, and If I'm using a game app or something it lasts a little over 2 hours which doesn't seem that bad to me. I've had it for half a year and enjoyed it the whole time.

i consider palm pre a good phone s and normally i wil prefer it than many other models from htc phones!!surely it depends from tastes and surely the palm pre keyboard is a bit little in this way the form factor of the phone is more ergonomic!!

I want touprade,m bu it has only been 8 months since I bought the phone I have now. I thought it would be better on the internet, but I don't like the browser, as it is a plain one and it doesn't have a flash player or java. I am thinking of getting the Samsung Omnia 2 as it has everything on it I could wsant, and has the Opera browser, and IE as well, so it means it has a flash player and java. It is considered I think a pocket computer but you can call on it. I will have to buy it online as Verizon doesn't carry it in their stores, and I don't know way. Anyway, if I buy it, I will have to pay a fortune and only have a month to month contract, which in a way is better than a 2 year one. That way, I am not obligated to them for all that time. I know nothing of the palm pre, as I have only seen it on youtube. I probably wouldn't like it thought. That is my opinion. Take care, and have a great day.

Its not uncommon for a smart phone like that to be like that. I mean batteries often die quickly the more a phone is capable of. I'm sorry you didn't like the phone, but it often takes me two months to get used to one of those keyboards. When I do watch out, I can text real fast.

One of my friends got the new palm pre and within the week of having it the screen broke, which is silly because the screen is touch screen it shouldn't break from texting. So he went back to the store and he told them 'you still need to work on this phone?' and they said 'no, errors have been sorted and fixed'. they wouldn't give him his money back or a new phone. Scam.
