What are you most looking forward to with the coming of spring in the next couple of weeks? For me, I am looking forward to warmer weather such that myself and the family can start to enjoy the outdoors again. I can't wait to start my tomato plants so that we will have fresh tomatos to enjoy during the warm months of the year. I'm also looking forward to seeing everything seem to come to life again. Are there things that you look forward to with the coming of spring or perhaps there are things that you don't like with spring. Please share with me.

Getting the kids out of the house! They have such cabin fever! I know I do I want to get out into the flowerbeds and garden as well. I'm so antsy this time of year! Sadly even gardening costs money and so does everything else! *sigh*

When in doubt you could always do patio versions tht way you don't have to worry about tilling and such. Yeah I spent over $120 on my front flowerbed but probably 60% or maybe more I spent on perennials so I won't have that cost again. But I spent last year I think 40-50 on impatints for the front bed that's 200-250 plants! Took me 2 days to do those but they looked beautiful! I just wish I was good at getting annuals to grow from seed & not merigolds either I hate those things.

I know what you mean about it costing money. I really want to have a small garden this year, but I don't know if we will be able to financially.

I think that we are going to go with a patio version for this year. Our ultimate plan is to tear out our front yard and do a European style garden out there because we have a small front yard and my husband grew up in Germany so he is a big fan of the European style garden.

unfortunately here in AZ, fall is best and sometimes spring until it starts getting unbarably hot. Im not looking forward to the heat of summer which goes at times into the 3 digits Anyway, right now its raining a lot and we have flowering plants (and dang weeds) all over. the plants growing is nice. I get tired of just seeing desert. I like it when I can see greenery and growing trees and flowers. which will soon wither in the heat of summer here tho..:((

thats not the worst of it. my daughter visited from ohio and wanted to lay out. she likes keeping a tan. she was out there a few minutes, came back in and said, my god, you cant even sweat out there its so hot then she tried taking a cold shower to cool off and she couldnt get any water to come out cold, it was all really warm! so she said somethings wrong with your hot and cold facets and i said, no, its just to hot for water to get cold. she said i could visit her from now on. she was never coming back here to h#ll

You know, now that you mention it, you can't sweat out there. I never even thought about that. Of course, I also never noticed the hot/cold water thing because I always take hot showers no matter what.

I've been to AZ twice in my life, and both times have been during the heat of the summer. I don't know how anyone can actually do it year round. I couldn't begin to imagine having to live with that heat and the lack of moisture. The funniest thing that I remember about my time there is sandwiches. We couldn't eat a sandwich out on the patio without the bread getting stale while we were eating our sandwich.

I've actually had enough of the cold weather and I will be very happy once the sun starts smiling a lot more! I'm looking forward to regular cycling once again, this is my favourite pastime. I have been cycling over the past couple of days but the wind has been biting and it's not very pleasurable. It's always nice when it's warm and you can wear only a t shirt and the fresh warm air is really accompanying you on your journey, I look forward to this. I just wish that the summer months would last a lot longer. Andrew

My husband has considered getting his bicycle out the last two days, but he says that the air is still just a little bit too cold. I know that he is looking forward to riding again, and I must admit that I am as well.

Where I live, the seasons are all mixed up - hee hee. It seems like Spring has been here a while, but yes, it is warming up more and more. Our almost 4 month old son is getting more and more curious and is so aware of his surroundings . . . it will be great to take him out to show him the outdoors without having the chilly breeze (as we've been having some gray, rainy spots during the day). My 5 year old is often stuck indoors with us (even if we're out), so it will be nice to take her somewhere outdoors where she can release all that energy (remember, we don't have a house, so we don't have a "yard"). Me, personally, I'm just glad things are getting a bit easier with 2 children now . . . so regardless of the season, I'm looking forward to real fun times with the family!

Your son's age is very parallel to what Paul's was when he faced his first spring. I remember the look of happiness on his face when we first took him to the park. He really enjoyed it. I hate that you don't have a yard of your own, perhaps someday you will be able to have that.

I am jealous of you to a certain extent. I do like being able to enjoy all four seasons, but I think some of them last for far too long.

i love the spring especially after a long and cold canadian winter! what i love the most is being able to be outside more and getting rid of those heavy winter coats! (YAY!) i also love spending lots of time at the beach during the summer, so thats a bonus as well as seeing all the flowers that come and all those yummy fresh fruits and veggies! what i dislike in the spring is all the rain that we tend to get.

The rain of the spring is really the one drawback that I can see that we face. There have been far too many times that I've had plans to do something outdoors duing the spring and rain has ruined the plans.

I'm jealous that you have new clothes to wear, I don't have any of those, but if I am able to do it, I will need a whole new wardrobe by the end of the spring.

This spring I am looking forward to gardening. I finally have a garden in the back yard. I haven't had a garden in a pretty long time now. I just bought all my seeds last pay day and have marked the calenders on when to start certain plants indoors. My garden is big enough for a good haul of fresh vegetables for the fall and maybe some for the winter even. I have pots and buckets ready for herbs and tomatoes. I am so excited for this. I love the smell of fresh herbs and the colors of all the different foods. I also have 2 beautiful gardens in the front yard. I am not to big of a flower fan, but I do have some seeds from a few years ago that I will try in their. But with having a garden and flowers, I will be taking pictures through out the year and hopefully put a nice scrap book together during the cold winter months. I want to add to it every year my new tricks and tips to remind my self. Also I will take pictures to make beautiful cards out of. My mother and I live 8 hours away from each other so we like to send cards back and forth. This way she gets personalized cards seeing what I am up to. I hope in the spring I will find time to go throw the junk in the basement. There isn't much just a few totes full of random things that don't have a place yet. Maybe do some crafts for Easter. Happy Spring Time!

I am also looking forward to the warmer weather. The last two days I have been able to go outside and play with my granddaughter. It has been in the 60's and just beautiful. I just love to smell the flowers and have the sun beating down on me. I love to hear the birds chirping. I wish I could say I could start gardening again but in New Mexico this is very hard to do. This is why I hope this year to move to Puerto Rico where my boyfriend has a yard of different fruits and veggies. He has bananas, tomatoes, coconuts, mangos, eggplant, pineapples, grapefruits, avocados, plantains. There are more but I can't remember them all. Just to be able to walk in your backyard for any of these is the best thing in the world especially since they are all so healthy and not sprayed with any harmful pesticides.

Last year we tried to do tomatoes and the squirrels really enjoyed them, we didn't get to eat one of them. However, we are going to try again this year in hopes that we have better luck. We are going to plant them in the front instead of in the back.

Well,as for me,I like Spring because there will be a lot of fresh fruits to eat during this time of the year.My favourite fruit is strawberry and it is harvested in Spring.Besides we acan go out and have fun climbing the hill or flying kites. When it is warmer,I and my friends will go to the seaside and enjoy swimming. It is so cool. Of course, there is something which will bother me in Spring, such as the mosquitoes. However, that is not a big problem and I love this coming season.

I love strawberries, they are my favorite fruit and I hope that I'll find the time this spring to be able to take the kids and pick a bunch of strawberries to eat here at home. My daughter and my son both love them as well.

I hope it warms up enough to melt all of my snow so I can start planting. I want to plant vegetables and hopefully some fruit. I am hoping that I will also be able to finally get the house in order and maybe if I can make enough money I can start those home improvement projects that I want to get done. Every year my husband and I set aside a day and go through our old clothes. If something does not fit it goes over to Good Will. The first Sunday of Spring my husband and I will be cleaning house. He hates spring cleaning day, but he is willing to help. He knows that if he does not help I start to complain and he hates it when I complain.

We really could handle to have a day of spring cleaning, but because of the fact that it is not just our stuff in our house but also things from my grandmother's house, I would need to have my mother over here to help us go through all of the crap in our house.

I love the spring and I am really looking forward to the weather change too. It has been too wet and too cold for a long time now and I'm just plain sick of it. Spring has it's own unique smell to it too, don't you think? The air just feels different somehow.

First and foremost, I'm looking forward to some normal Miami weather, my Hospitality class trrip to Epcot, bathing suits, the beach (the only thing that might stop me is the weather of course) no school, and pictures! - and I hope the weather stops being ridiculous so ytou can plant your tomatoes lol - just like you, me and my friends and family were stuck inside because of the weather - it's crazy!

I am looking forward to getting rid of all this snow that is still laying around. LOL We have had more than our fair share this year. It also means the begining of baseball season for my son. So I am excited to see him get back on the field and have some real fun this year. He is pretty talented so hopefully the coach will give him a chance to show what he has.

Spring is the queen of the seasons. After the dull winter is over the nature wear the green color. The flower blossoms. The beauties of the nature spread all over. Life gear up is the spirit of the spring. I like to enjoy the nature in the spring.

Just like you I enjoy getting to spend time in nature during the spring, but I don't think that I would have been able to say it nearly as eloquently as you've done.

hi dorannmwin! I am actually looking for some lovely vacation to some of the cities that I haven't been to here in my country, because I really love to travel, and I am waiting for the weather to get warmer, and we( me, my cousin and his girlfriend) to go on some 2-days-long vacation, because they also like to travel and have traveled to many places in the country just like me
