How do you keep yourself motivated?

Lately I've been having a hard time staying motivated. I started a new job I don't care for. Since then I just can't get motivated to do anything. By the time I get home I just have no energy. I want to do things but just can't seem to make myself. So I ask, how do you keep motivated? If you have lost your motivation how do you get it back?

since you dont care with your job then maybe thats the reason why you didnt appreciate it and its easy for you to feel tired and bored unlike the job that we like the most as we always feel alive and on the go. anyway, just think of those people whose still striving to have job right now like me, those people who need to wake up early, go to the company prepare for exam nor interview and yet at the end they went home failed. think that your lucky enough to have work as you can have your regular income, i guess thats one thing that can motivate you. as for me, i just keep on dreaming and think positively that everything will be fine.

A defined goal might help. If there is anything that you want in the future, why not try writing it down. Including ways on how to achieve this. Better yet, break it down in small increments or milestones to achieve. This way, you don't have to go through a lot to achieve little objectives. This might help you get motivated. If all these does not help, try getting a hobby. An activity that will keep your mind away from your job that you obviously don't care currently.

Seems like you need to unwind every now and then also, and rest for awhile. You should balance your career and your personal life also. Try to do things that you enjoy and meditate, and count your blessings. Like you, I also feel demotivated sometimes. I feel like I don't like my job, maybe because it's already a routine for me and I get bored. What I do is I make a list of my plans in life (such as a big house, someday I'll go to Paris, or I need to buy a new set of furniture...) In that way, I will know that I need to work so I can do the things that I want to do. Good luck!
