They just can't stay out of trouble can they?

Well the scandels are pilling up. The newest one is actually causing one to step down from his seat. Rep. Eric Massa, D-New York is going to resign next week. He has already said he would not seek re-election...now he is not even going to finish out his term. There is currently an investigation going on against him for harassing one of his Capitol Hill male staffers. No one knows yet what kind of "harrassement" it is. Just that he made the staffer feel "uncomfortable"..which could cover a lot of ground. He released a statement saying " "I own this reality. There is no doubt in my mind that I did in fact, use language in the privacy of my own home and in my inner office that, after 24 years in the Navy, might make a Chief Petty Officer feel uncomfortable. In fact, there is no doubt that this Ethics issue is my fault and mine alone." He went on to say that an ethics probe "would tear my family and my staff apart." Investigators, he said, would "be free to ask anything about me going back to my birth." Sounds like you got a lot to hide. Or maybe you just like your privacy. I can understand that. But with the way it usually goes with our politicans....he is hiding something..aren't they always? So another one bits the dust. New York is really having a rough time with politicans...but to tell you the truth I think this whole country is having a hard time our politicans. They just can't seem to say out of trouble can they? Tell me what you think.

Unfortunately, this is one of the Dems who was opposed to Obama Care, and quietly and not so quietly, Pelosi and other Dems are cheering. It's one less hurdle to hurdle for them. I'm ready to see a lot more fall because the corruption is rampid.

Well I wonder who will replace him. It could make a difference. I wonder if Pelosi is one by one taking down all the dems who don't support hte bill. Maybe that is the new stragy to get it passed. YOu know Rangel was accused of worse things (ethics probes found him guilty of some worse things...but they are still investigating so it is not complete)..he is still in his seat...why? He will vote in favor of it...so Pelosi took up for him...While this guy.. you have not heard one peep from Pelosi about trying to get him to stay. Nope...because she might get someone who will vote for it. And sence I think the governor gets to appoint his replacement until a special election is held...you can bet your butt she is already all over the governor to put someone in that seat that WILL vote for it.

You're thinking a lot like I am. My first reaction, when I found out this Dem voted against health-care reform, the Party is going to "eat"/"take down" it's own and replace them with those who will vote "yes". In that case, my Dem Representative will be on a hit list, too. Let's see if something "bad" doesn't happen to Harry Teague, 2nd Congressional District-NM. If it does, then we may be on to something! We could call it Pelosi-gate or health-care-gate or Obama-gate! Problem is, I think I read that Massa won't be stepping down until his term is up. And that may blow our theory up, assuming they still try and pass this legislation before November.

The news is reporting that Messa is going to fully resign on Monday. So his seat will be empty by the end of the week.

Yeah my state sucks, but we need to loose a lot more Democrats in my opinion if it will ever be anything else but a welfare state, the politicians we have I mean. Not saying there couldn't be a decent Democrat, I just don't see any in politics lately.

New York is becoming the new Illinois, I will even go farther that what is going on in New York is worse than what has happen in Illinois. Does this not sound like the Joe Folly scandal?
