---Do your decisions always favor you?

Most of the times we made decision: from simple to complicated one we need time to finally work it out. Sometimes we seek decision from others or perhaps we are confident enough not to solicit ideas. Do your decision always favor you or there are many cases that you regretted you made it? Let's us start from the basic one like buying clothes... or buying something in the market...

not always, not in every decision i made always favors me. but before i made the final decision, i have to consult my wife, in most of the things that need to be decided, and concerns both of us and the family. i don't want to be blamed in the future and if ever i decide even against the will of her, i take the responsibility.

I agree on that my friend... To make our love ones happy is the most important to us!!! Even if entails an opposite to us... however if we can really feel that they are happy, then it's worth it!!!

I try to make decisions where I don't hurt anyone. Before I would do what others wanted and if it hurt me , that was ok. But now I won't do anything I don't want to. " No , I'm not doing that." is a phrase I use often. But I don't go out to hurt others unless they hurt me first.

Yes,many times when shopping,I love a clothes at the first sight,I buy it ,but after going back home,I will find I am not really love this clothes,I will very regret for why I buy this clothes. But in our life,we makes some decision to effect our whole life,it's nothing to regret, because if there's a change more,I think we will select the same way.

Hi prime Decisions, why do we make them? And does it always favor us? Well for me we make this decision to see if it will do us good or bad. We can never tell the future and can never see what going to happen after every decision we make. So the answer if it does always favor us. My answer is YES. All our decision makes us better. We learn something if that decision woks out wrong. All in all we get something out of it. I can say this because if we choose not to decide we finish nothing right? Things wont get finish if we dont start deciding.

Good answer Boyetski... all our decisions make us better whether it's right or wrong and thus it would favor us in the end... We learn from our mistake and there is no way of saying that bad decision can harm our life at all... oh sometimes yes... but in the long run we got some important lessons from it... making us more strong and wise person in the next days to come!!! To decide is to take a challenge my friend... and a smart person like you and me would take it...

Yes I look at it this way. I have to make a decision because an OPPORTUNITY presented itself and I have to decide wether to grab it or not. Life is full of decision making.

your issue is a basic ones of human problems.it's a multi-discussable matter. there are mainly two types of decisions that we take 1.time taking decision 2.force fully taking decision. in 1st case just draw out a diagram of good and bad results of that decision.if good results become greater than bad ones, then just do it.for another case just leave it. in 2nd case psychologists say take a bold decision on what seems good to you. one thing i must say that on an overview no decision is purely perfect by all respects.so grab one and make the most of it.the fact is we are humen and our life is depot of taking decisions.some are tough, some are easy.but if you insist of doing well in life, nothing can stop you. so cheer up..and for any confusion, try the mentioned options.

Hi aparnamahata, I appreciate your time here... Welcome to mylot... You are right my friend... I agree on you. Most of the times the entire decision is not purely perfect at all... but we have look for the good in it... ignoring the bad ones... try counting you blessing and not the tears they say, do I get it?

Not necessarily always. There are times when sacrifices have to be made for the sake of a friend or a family member or something like that. There are decisions where it may have seemed right at the time but really regrettable later wards.

hi p rimeaque86 for me its buying tops in Walmart or anyother store without first trying the top. so i get home, take off all the tags, and such and throw away the receipt. try it on finally, whoops it did not fit.Two bad decisions made there, not trying it on and not keeping the receipt so I could return it. I always feel so stupid as who does not try on a garment first before she buys it. But I had looked at it, and it looked plenty big enough.Which just went to show how one's eyes can deceive one.

I also experience that hatley... because I am so weird? Why because if I have to go to mall and buy something, specially jeans or clothes I have to wear it there... carrying my old jeans with me instead the newly bought... so if my friend would not like it... I would regret it because I could not return it anymore... and she would always insisted I should have bought another one...

Once i've made a decision I tend to just shrug and live with the consequences - particularly with something as trivial as a bad clothes choice, but I can think of at least 2 major decisions that were just so wrong - one about 5 years ago for which I do beat myself up regularly and one a few weeks ago which i'm currently having a really bad time with and trying to work out the least damaging course from here on in

And I am sure those major decisions have something good brought to you and made your life even better and stronger now?

That's right my friend. At first, those thing's could drive us upset preventing us somehow to do things in order but as time past, we then learnt to open our eyes that life is full of trials---that we have to continue despite of that and learn from it... so that next time same mistake could not be repeated again.... God bless you...

No, the first one has prevented me from doing a lot of things that i wanted to do and the latest one is causing me considerable stress at the moment. I am a great believer in challenges making us stronger tho so i will work things out

Decisions are always a crapshoot for me. Even however many times I exercise it. Sometimes, you make it work for you by sticking to whatever decisions that you make. Of course it doesn't favor me all the time. So we learn to live with it. And I guess that's how you shape your life. By making these decisions, from the tiniest of ones to the bigger ones that affect others.

there are decision that we must to think first, not once not twice, but many times so that when the time comes we can not blame to ourselves. but there are times that we are eager to make our decision without asking opinion to others until we found out that, its a failure decision.. this means that nobody's perfect my friend..
• Philippines

Yes, nobody's perfect my friend... but those bad decisions, if we are open-minded enough to learn from it----soon it could make us a better person!!!!

Sometimes my decisions can be really idiotic and cause me all kinds of problems Although I guess we all learn from our mistakes, right?
• Philippines
8 Mar 10
Yes... that's true specially if you are going to rush into a decision without any second thought... but we always learn from it... it is much idiotic if we would repeat another same mistake for many times.... LOL

I would like to say yes, but quite often when it comes to certain decisions I have other influences. This especially true when it comes to food or dinners with my husband. Quite often he'll not want to eat so I either have to fend for myself or not eat. And, rarely does it feel like I make a decision myself sometimes. But, most of the time no one influances my choices and maybe you could say they do favor me.

Good my friend... decision always favors us... I learned an important thing from Boyetski (#13)... whether it's a good decision or not... it would bring us good in the long run... provided to take all the lessons in our previous decisions and apply it to the next... take and learn... have a nice day my friend...
