I am away from home because I had to travel 1600 miles for a funeral. I had to leave my mom to dog sit my baby Piper. I was on the phone with my mom yesterday and she said Piper cries looking for me everyday. I cannot wait to go home Tuesday and give my baby a great big hug! Shes gonna be mad at me!

Hello, I totally understand you... it is very heartbreaking to leave them, in my particular case my dog starts crying and you can here here when you are outside of the house and it breaks my heart but she knows that at the end of the day I will arrive and we can do a lot of things together. I to have to travel and I do not know what I will do with her because she can't travel with me. Poor dogs!!!!

Yes! I know exactly how you feel. I always miss my dogs when I am away from them. I feel so guilty when I have to leave and since I have no children, my dogs are my children. Sometimes I think they're mad at me for leaving, but when I come back, they forgive me and are absolute joys again. I hate going on trips because I have to put them in a kennel. It's so hard not to wonder what they're doing and how they're being affected by not being by our side. I can't help but to call the kennel just to check up on them. Your dog loves you unconditionally so I'm sure she'll be really happy to see you upon your return!

I always miss my dog even when I have to go to work. Even though she is sleeping when I am gone. When I am leaving she always has this look on her face like can't you stay here with me or can I go with you? I am sure it will be a happy reunion when you get home. Baby will forgive you they always do.

Aww! I know how you feel, my wife and I are retired and we take our two labs's everywhere with us, they are with us all the time and once in a while I take a day & go fishing and all I can think about are my wife and them, they even stay the night in our room, they have their own beds. Dogs are my favorite people! There's a pic at the bottom of my profile, havent figured out how to get it in a discussion yet.
