I spend whole day doing nothing, what a waste

Today is Sunday, and I spend a whole day doing nothing at home. I don't want to call my friends, because they might ask me to go out, and I have to spend some money at least once I go out. I just still on my budget watch. So, I just spend a whole day watching TV, and get online surfing the web. Nothing significant I contribute for the day? So, how do you guys spend your Sunday weekend?

Sunday is a special day for me. I always look forward this day because this is the Lord's day, the only day where I can worship God along with my whole family and fellow believers. So Sunday has never been and will never ever be a boring day for me.

That's more enticing than having to work, hmmmmp.. Actually there are activities in which you can do that don't require money. Try flying kites, going for a nice walk with someone you enjoy doing it with, swimming, cycling and many more. Though being at home and watching the TV can also be pretty cool, especially if the weather's hot.

On Sundays since this is the only day my husband has off from work, this is usually the day we clean house and watch movies. I know what it is like being on a budget. I think it is great that you spent time at home relaxing you needed that time off to just do something fun for yourself.

I spent my Sunday (the one just passed 2 days ago) playing badminton. I didn't want to spend my day at home despite not feeling well and it's one of the few days where I could find some company. Because I am always at home during week days and since my friends are mostly working, so I surf net and do a lot of things but not step out of my house unless I need to run an errand. Thus, weekends are quite important for me to get myself out of my house without rotting in front of my computer. LOL

Every now and again I love to have a lazy Sunday. Sleep in, get up late, veg out on the sofa watching tv, just relaxing and doing nothing at all.

Dear friend, There are hardly any times when I get bored, but there is something in the house I would utilise my self to get away that boring. Moreover I do watch TV or sometimes I do nothing as it makes my mind get much relaxed may be giving rest to whole of my body, may be storing my energy for further purposes.

hello king, In contrary with other mylotters who spends their weekends at home or with friends relaxing and outing,my weekends is the other way round. I always had a busy weekend esp when it is Sunday. From morning i spend it with kids at church, then, later had to do some activities in church, like last Sunday,we had a party with senior citizens. We give them gifts and asks them simple wishes that we tried to fulfill.

Hello kingparker, I can relate to what you feel. Sometimes, I don't contact my friends because all they want to do is go out, and I can't do that if I'm on a tight budget. So what I do is just stay at home and try to entertain myself by watching tv and surfing the net like you do. But this Sunday, I attended my little cousin's birthday party and got to spend my day with my family and bf. So all in all, I had a busy weekend for a change.

Weekend is the time for relaxing,so I think that you spend whole day doing nothing significant is normal, but when I don't want to do something at weekend,I always like thinking,in my opinion, sometimes thinking is also a great thing which is worth doing.

Ahh Sunday...Well I go to church, then I go out to eat with the family (that is if I'm home because im in college right now). I have to get out and exercise, I can't sit inside and do nothing. Im a very active person and if I sit around I feel like I wasted the day.

i used to be like that -- chilling at home not doing anything. ITS NOT HEALTHY ! Especially if you would have been working all week.I have changed that and so should all the people reading this. As from this year, my wife and i (more the wife) have been planning things to keep us occupied on the weekends and thrust me when i say that the relationship is healthier, i am healthier, and the way i look at my job is healthier. When you have the weekend to look forward to, the work week magically passes by quicker. No need to spend loads of cash to enjoy a day out. The alternatives are endless. ITS NEVER GOOD TO BE A COUCH POTATOE!!

That sounds like a similar situation to my own! I'm on a very tight budget and I rarely go out so I improvise my time by doing things around my flat which could be anything from surfing the web and enjoying secondlife to watching the television and communicating with others this way. There's no right and wrong to this! I guess it's important to do whatever feels right to you, we are all free agents afterall! I'm a bit of a telly addict to tell the truth. Well, I also love regular cycling too! Andrew

I spent the day pretty much like you. Watching Pollyanna this morning in bed. Then getting up getting online and watching a few more movies both on TV and on the computer. It was a day of relaxation after spending a few days preparing a birthday party for my granddaughter that we had yesterday for her. We were all exhausted and glad for the day of quiet and peace.

HIE KINGPARKER, dont spend time doing nothing. clear your room at home, surprise your closed ones. help in household chores, mob the floor, dust the cupboards and furniture,do the clothings, etc. read a book and organise your life. file your paperworks and your important documents. there is alot to do at home besides watching tv and playing computer games and chatting on the phone.talk to your parents and show how much you care and love them. talk to your siblings. organise a family gathering of pot lucks and share experiences and bridge relationships. time gone is bygone. as i am writing this, i cant get or buy the time back anymore. that is how fast time moves and flies. treasure our time. God bless.

Doing nothing? I don't think so. Actually, you are taking a well-deserved break from work, from people and from unnecessary expenditure which, at the moment, is not part of your budget. Yes, you are doing something, watching TV, surfing and having sensible thoughts about the best way you can spend your weekend. Congratulations. My weekend? It varies from weekend to weekend. I'd do something that I enjoy. Have a wonderful time, kingparker.

Yeah i don't like going out either. Anyway, I can't call watching TV not doing anything, well you are literally doing something, just not significant. But I do the same thing on Sundays, well everyday I guess. I don't find it boring at all, I am on the computer most of the day working, well business actually so it's something I do everyday. It gets really boring at times specially when your business gets older and older so this week i'm gonna look for a job or anything that I can do to earn more money.
