I confess.... ...I'm ordering Viagra! At least that's what my spam messages tell me. I keep getting this annoying spam message about my order for Viagra pills when I don't remember having done so, used so, or even plan on using so anytime sooner. And since everytime this message keeps popping up for almost a year now, I rush to delete it, finally this afternoon, I got a message from amazon.com that I had cancelled my order for the medicine. Seems creepy...all these Viagra-related activities going on in my mail without me having the slightest idea what's going on and who's responsible. Do you get weird and sometimes embarrassing email messages/spam messages? How did you deal with it?

That is a worry. I never open spam, and I find some e-mail providers are better able to keep repeated spam from reapearing. Others are not so good.

I think my yahoo can filter spams but it doesn't seem to stop them from reappearing or continue sending.

I rarely get such messages on my RoadRunner account. I think that the person who set up my computer set up a block. I do get them on my Yahoo account, but I just mark them as spam and I never see that particular one again.

Maybe RoadRunner also has a better filtering capability compared to yahoo. Or maybe the senders are focusing on Yahoo or MSN since these accounts usually are more popular.

Spam drives me nuts. I get all kinds of this junk and even though I have previously marked it as spam it sometimes still comes to my regular email box. Most recently I have been getting the following: 1) BestBuy/Wal-mart/Target - $1000 Gift Card Waiting for you 2) Buy Viagra/Vicodin/??? though online pharmacy 3) Hot Hookups I sometimes think that the email companies have a published list of all the users and we will end up getting this junk at some time or the other. I just delete them and get on down the road. I figure that if I start getting medication through the mail that I will contact the government and inform them since I did not order it and most of the stuff they are offering is illegal without a prescription.

Hi, Somebody or you by mistake have submitted your email id to them, most of the time when we submit our emails to different websites, few companies sell it to some other source, which later is used to spam us, there is nothing much you can do, just delete it when it comes, I know it is annoying but it is not in our hand anymore.

It's annoying how some sites assure you that they wont sell your email add but I guess some of those who promised still did.

Could it be that someone might be using your email address to order this. I think that is the only logical reason why you keep on receiving this email. I think you should start changing your password because it might just be that there is someone out there who has figured out your password and uses it to buy this viagra.

I wouldn't say that I am very careful with my email. Here in the office, I sometimes close the browser even without logging out, certain that nobody here messes up with my account. But I don't think someone toyed with my account because first, I am usually the first and last person to come and leave the office. Second, basing upon the responses of other mylotters, I realized I wasn't the only one getting it.:)

ha ha ha i can understand how u feel when u open ur mail box and found such spasm mails waiting for U, they are really irritating. Well i used to get spasm mails not only from Viagra and such other medicines but also from Rolex company, they wanted to sell it to me desperately. they were not coming at my official email addresses but also at my personal email addresses. At office, we asked IT dept and they block all such spasm mail and at personal mails i strict the filter that only mails my friends can come in my inbox, other than that they go to spasm/junk mail folder and i delete them without opening Best Regards

I really should try and explore a way how to block these SPAMS myself.

I get at least 3 spam messages daily regarding Viagra or other erectile dysfunction tablets such as Cialis or Levitra. Personally, I don't think they are embarassing because I know I don't need such tablets and all I need to do is just to delete these emails (although I know it wastes a few seconds of my time). I am always skeptical to open such emails because I am just afraid that those emails are meant to trace whether your email exists and if you open the email they will know it exists and more spam will come to your inbox. Well, this might not be true but I always had that fear....arrgghhh, I HATE spam!!!!!

Sometimes I am forced to open them because the subject is tricky. It is only seldom that the word Viagra actually is sprawled across the subject. Sometimes, it's just Message from a certain Pharmaceutical Company and being a nurse, these subjects sometimes interest me only to find out that it's about Viagra...again! So now I have learned to just check all the boxes and delete them all at once!

Once i got an instant message supposedly from a friend of mine about this acui berry stuff that you can lose weight real fast. Exactly 1 minute after i got this my friend walked in the door. I showed her my computer. She said she didnt send it because she was walking up to my house when it was sent. She had never heard of this stuff. Sometimes i send stuff to myself. Next thing i knew thissame acui berry was sending me stuff as if im trying to sell it to myself. I dont get it. If they are using other names to sell stuff how do they get paid???

Ya, i usually spam them. but i still dont understand it, how would they get paid if they are not using their own name? I know im not trying to sell myself acuiberry. What can they gain from that?

Maybe there's some hyperlink or something which leads you somewhere else and you titally seem clueless because you trust the person who sent you the email when in fact it's not really them

Oh? And now they are using other people's names? I did notice a lot of messages before with people's names but the messages are entirely unrelated to them. Maybe it's a similar case. ANyway, they all land in my trash.

It does sound really creepy how did they find out about your email address to send you all those messages. I wonder if the company is trying to force you to take an order for your product. I guess I should be more careful with my personal information when I am online doing stuff.
