Finally got moved into my own place.......

after staying with daughter the past few months. Although I appreciated it very much, I was soooo ready to get moved. Found a great little house for me and my pup, and the neighborhood is great too. Now just have unpacking to finish. But the fun part will be buying new furniture. Since I moved from Pa to Va to Texas, all I had was personal stuff, left all the furniture behind. So will be going shopping this week! Anyone else here moved lately, if so, how did it go?

It's been a lil over 2 weeks since I started my move-in, for the most part I'm settled in. Last weekend was pretty hectic, getting shopping done, buying a new bed set, mattress, box springs, foot board and headboard, but it was a good deal. I found it at Big Lots, and since it was the last one left of this style and the floor model, I even got the price discounted more. I also found a wooden rocker for my screened in porch at a garage sale. Still have a few things to get, but it's coming together.

Hey palonghorn! It's about time! Was wondering if we'd ever hear
from you! I am so glad to hear that you have finally moved into
your own place! And you have a puppy? What the hell have you been
up to? What is going on? I have been wondering about you now for
months! Why haven't you let us know that you were alright! And,
as for buying new furniure, I only wish I could start all over
again! I have nothing but hand me down furniture and I hate it!
But, I am getting a few new things little by little! I just
finally bought new lamps for the livingroom out of necessity
because the old ones are just too broke down! And I need new
carpet and a new diningroom set and couch! I could go on and on!
But, being on Disability and not being able to pay bills makes
my life impossible! I don't know what I am going to do! The
State of NY is making me pay $447 a month for Medicaid! I can't
afford that! And that leaves me with only rent money so they
are screwing me and I don't know what to do! I am trying to get
help, but so far no one is willing to help! I can't afford anything
not even cable or internet soon so I really don't know what is
going to happen! It's too long a story and I really want to hear
what's going on with you girlfriend so let's hear it! You were

Nice to know I was missed around here lol. Been busy with wildland fire academies (student in October/staff in Feb. And one week after the last academy, moving. I hit the ground running 3 1/2 weeks ago and haven't stopped yet lol. Got my puppy in Virginia before coming back to Texas, she is great, just a mixed breed, but a great lil pal. Just joined back with my old fire dept last night, at least officially lol, and as a result have tons of fire dept paperwork to do. Just staying busy, gotta go shoppin this weekend, new bed, stove and refrig.

I'm still over in the hill country, but I'll probably be making a weekend trip down to Austin soon. Kinda miss that place. lol I'll let ya know when and we can plan on meeting for lunch or something.
