What is the right age for babies to ride the plane?

Hello fellow mylotters! I'm asking if what is the right age when babies are allowed to ride the airplane (can travel)? My family is planning to visit our relative and i don't know if my sister's baby will be allowed to travel with us since she is still 2 months old. Any idea so that we will know if she can be with us on our trip or not?

Each airline has rules about the minimum age of a baby to fly on their plane. It could be 7 days or 10 days to give a couple of examples. A young baby on a plane might be able to sleep in a sky cot. I know that age 2 months would be the ideal time for the baby to fly. My son was four months old when we flew from London in England to Faro in Portugal. I let him drink out of his bottle on take off and landing in case he got any ear pain. Since that time I have flown with him from London in England to Riga in Latvia. Our longest flight was from London in England to Cape Town in South Africa. It is wise to get a young baby used to flying on a plane.

Thank you so much for sharing the information and your baby's experience in flying. I will tell my sister about this tip of letting the baby drink from his bottle during take off and landing. Have a nice day!

i don't think there is a specific age for babies to travel. besides, babies can be born, on board. but try to check the airlines office, they should know better that us.

I think babies can travel around 3 months. However, I think as long as the pedia approves of the trip then there will be no problem. The first time I made my daughter ride an airplane was when she turned 3. No problem at all. Just ask the pedia to be sure.

Thanks for the information. I'll tell my sister to ask her baby's pedia.
