what can you say about yaoi(boyxboy) and yuri(girlxgirl) anime??

waaa another silly question!! ahah just for the sake of randomness ahaha but seriously what can you say about them?? there are others like me who like this genre of anime but some really do dont like and others might hate them... how about you?? -^^-

Being a girl myself, I only like yaoi and not yuri. I understand it's kind of a strange genre for most people but I don't know myself why we like these. ^.^'
