Emotional quotient vs Intelligence quotient

Hi my dear my lotters in present competitive world senario which one of these two you think a person should possess?

I would say both are important. IQ is somewhat an in-born quality and if allowed to nurture, will certainly achieve much accomplishments and success. EQ, on the other hand, is a skill or quality which we can learn and train to be empathetic. EQ is always necessary when dealing with people.

i think every person should have a good IQ. it's best to have so that you could come out with a best decision in every thing or situation that requires you to decide the best.

Hello! I think everyone should have both. We actually discussed this in class and we were told that people who usually have high IQs excell in their fields of expertise like academics and the like, but sort of have difficulty when it comes to social situations. People with high emotional quotients however are more adept to mingling and interacting with the world around them, and are more able to handle their emotions better. If given the chance, I personally wish I had more EQ than IQ. I usually have trouble dealing with my emotions and I can't use rational thought to tame my feelings! Lol! Regards!
