do you know of any brainteasers that are related to algebra? my son needs it badly. looks like we cannot find anything in the internet.. help please..

Here is one for you:
If a chicken and a half can lay and egg and a half in a day in a half. How many eggs can three chickens lay in eight days?

after sitting for 15 minutes and analyzing, i think, i do not know the solution.

The chicken to egg ratio is 1 to 1.
So 8 days/ 1.5 days (that it takes to lay the egg)x 3 chickens (becuse of the 1 chicken to 1 egg ratio) is 16 eggs.
Time becomes insignificant in the ratio as it would still require 1.5 days on the 1 to 1 chicken to egg ratio.

Well i hate them to the core. Because they always look like greek and latin. I cannot score by memorising as i really cannot understand and i write it on my exams.Well there are books named brain teasers, i believe you will get as books.
