The title says it all. My hubby may be trading down his truck but I'd like to know if it's a big deal or worth wild to buy a certified over another that isn't? Will they stand by a certified used vehicle? or?

Typically a certified used car is one that has had a much more thorough inspection than other used cars have undergone and they have lived up to the expectations of that particular dealership. Now, the question of whether or not the dealership will stand by their certification is a matter of the different dealerships. For example, the car that I bought several years ago was a certified used car and they offered a warranty on that car. However, the dealership where we bought my husband's card a few years later did not offer anything except for 30 days on their certified used cars.

Certified is usually a term used by a dealership to show that it has gone through some kind of inspection. Very rarely would you recieve any kind of additional warranty, beyond the manufacuturers original warrenty, on a certified pre-owned car. These cars should also come with a clean CarFax history report.
