Have you been playing video games lately? Have you seen Dante's Inferno?

It's been a long time since I last played console games. Probably like around a year or so. I used to enjoy playing PS2 when I was younger, and I got hooked to games like Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, and Grand Theft Auto. Yes, not entirely girly games, but playing video games is a good way to pass time and put ourselves in an entirely different world. Now I'm back to playing and I've landed upon this game, Dante's Inferno. I loved the book by Dante Alighieri, so now I'm trying this game which is supposed to be like the classic most of us have read. The animation is good, and I like how they portrayed those mythical and classical figures in the game. Very good depiction but somehow the revised story line just doesn't work for me. Anyway, how about you, have you played video games lately? I don't have class anymore so I'm free to slack off and play games again. Any video games that you got hooked to? Would love to hear and would also love to try them out.

I used to play games all the time too. Not just console games, I used to play with my psp a lot until recently. I played and finished Resident Evil 5 recently, after I got unlimited ammo though I got bored. I'm in the middle of playing Bio Shock 2 but am enjoying spending the time on forums and chatting rather than playing. Tried Dragon Age: Origins but got bored. MMORPG's also bore me now

Hello Frissph! I haven't tried Resident Evil 5 yet, the last one I played was 4, the one that had NO ZOMBIES in it. LOL. Is Resident Evil 5 the latest one released? Is that the one released for the PS3? I haven't tried Bio Shock yet but sounds like a good first shooter game! Is that available for the 360? I haven't been reading game forums lately so I'm a bit left behind when it comes to games and the like. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion on Dragon Age! Would search and try that out!

Ahh that's sad, RE without zombies = fail. I haven't played four but was an avid RE fan before they ported over my tiny playstation one. It felt like the same resident evil but with less challenging puzzles and more action. I think it's the latest one. I played it in my PC but I believe that it came out earlier on the ps3 and/or 360. The first bioshock was really creepy D: had to play without sounds most of the time because I'm really jumpy. the second one doesn't seem to scare me that bad though XD Used to also love RPG's but I haven't found one I can really sink my teeth into these days.

LOL, I agree. Resident Evil without zombies just isn't Resident Evil at all! Yeah, I used to play using that tiny white playstation one too! Oh those were the gaming days. I looked Resident Evil 5 in youtube and it is the latest one! I do hope they have zombies there instead of weird murdering towns people. Would love to give Bio Shock a shot, but lately I've found my tolerance for creepy games have dwindled away. LOL. I do hope I can manage to play it up to the middle of the game. I used to love RPGs too! I used to love Final Fantasy and Chrono Cross. But since they crossed over to the much expensive PS3, I just settled with the normal shooting games in 360, wii and ps2. LOL.

Hello pocketrocket I havent played too much recetnly. I dunno why, maybe im getting old or maybe its the game not being so great as before. I have seen DanteĀ“s Inferno but it really isnt so close to what the book is. I began reading the book but i didnt finish it(probably should reread it, but i dont have it anymore since it was a lended book).

Hello Edxcast! I was thinking the same thing about myself too! I use to be a gamer but when I got to college my interest for games just dwindled away. Probably getting older. LOL! Anyway, I love the book Dante's Inferno! It's not an easy read but I like the depiction of hell and the allegories. Very, very intelligently done by the author Dante Alighieri! I have to agree with you though, the game is nothing close to the book. The story of Dante became too farfetched from the real one, but in fairness I like how they depicted the circles of hell!

There was a period of a long time whereby I just didn't play games much or even at all. Then I saw Dante's Inferno and Dark Siders, and I have also recently finished The Sabateur. So Dark Siders it is now. Anyway, Dante's Inferno was a really cool change, and a bit of a challenge at times. I liked it, 8.75/10

Hi pocketRocketsAA, I've been playing video games since pre school..so basically, from catridges to BluerRays, I've seen it all..hehe yup, I heard of Dante's Inferno..a friend said that the game play is simmilar to "God of War"..assuming you are playing PS3, why not try "Heavy Rain"..the game play is ~so amazing :) Honestly, I'm new to PS3...so I right now just playing with Tekken 6, Winning 11, and GTA...can't wait to put my hands on Final Fantasy XIII though... say, why don't you add me on PSN..hehe..my ID: syaryel ;)

Hello Syaryel! Wow, so you've been a long time video game player huh! Yeah, Dante's Inferno is indeed similar to God of War. It's actually like Kratos wearing an Anglo Saxon outfit on! The game play is so similar as well as the features and fights. I play it in Xbox 360 though, is Heavy Rain available there? I would love to try it out! Congratulations on your PS3! I've always wanted to have one but it's a bit too pricey, especially the games! And I agree, Final Fantasy XIII is definitely a game to play! I haven't tried it yet, but hey, we all now how epic FF is! I don't have a PSN yet, but I'll try to make an account soon! I'll be sure to add you up!

hi! yes, I have played a PC game lately and it was the last week but I have already beaten all the levels/missions and i am done with it. he game is "Hitman II- the silent assassin" and It is my favorite one. I have seen many review about dante's inferno and all the people say that it is really something incredible, but I don't like RPG games :)

Hello there Phoenix! Wow! I tried Hitman a few years back in PS2, and I must admit it really is an awesome game! I like the stealthiness of the game, it never fails to keep my adrenaline pumping whenever I play. Have you seen the movie? I'm not sure which game I played but if I'm not mistaken I think the last mission was entitled "requiem." I loved that mission! Is that from Silent Assassin? Anyway, yeah, Dante's cool too! But the story line of God of War is without a doubt better. If you decide to give RPG a shot then God of War will be nice! :)
