unconditional love = true love

Yes.. It's true that unconditional is equal to true love. However, we express and show our love for a person in many ways so we can't say that the love that we have is not true or is it true. Love is a very mysterious thing in this world it can hurt us but it can make us happy too. I'd like to share my favorite verse from the Bible that talks about the true meaning of love. The verse is can be found in the book of 1st Corinthians 13:4-8 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." I hope that the verse will help you to understand what love realy is. Love is unconditional and GOd had proven that to us.

For me aside from God, there are only two creatures on earth that can best give unconditional love and they are Mothers and Dogs. Next to them is a lover and then next on line is a friend. It is the highest form of love given, and not everybody is capable of giving it. We are lucky if we come across a person or a dog that can love us this way, if we do, we got to hold onto it for it's very rare.

My thinking is that true love would be a relationship where both people have unconditional love for one another. If the other person doesn't feel the same then it's an unbalanced kind of love for me and might end up in just a relationship where you'd get taken advantage of.
