Faster WiFi with Light?

I stumbled on the following link:

They say that in future light can be used to communicate data indoors, similarly as with indoor WiFi we have today, and it will be much faster -- up to 14 times! I can't wait for this technology to come out in the markets! But I'm still skeptic about how it can be possible. What do you myLotters think? Do you think this is possible and could have any utility to anyone?
