Well Avatar was a really nice movie. I still cant stop giving them credit for the hard work that they put in it. they must have taken a long time to make that movie. i predict four years. ok right to my question do you guys think there should be an avatar 2? well i think they should. It might not come out next year but it 2 or 3 years time. Avatar was really nice and a second one would be fantastic. although im not sure what the story line will be. Maybe fights between tribes or something like that. what do you people think? Avatar is a great movie and if their is a second one i seriously will be looking forward to it.

I kinda liked Avatar, but I had some major problems with it so I probably wouldn't go see a sequel. It doesn't really matter what I think though. I'm surprised none of you seem to have heard that James Cameran already has a sequel in the works, and more than one. He's also planning on writing a prequel book.

There are plenty of novelizations of movies that come after movies actually. From what I heard the book would be a prequel, and Cameron wanted to do a book instead of a movie because there are a lot of things you can do in books that you can't do in movies. I sort of liked Avatar but I had some problems with it that kept me from liking it more. I didn't like the whole anti-military and anti-human approach they were taking, and I thought the story was pretty predictable. Yes, I saw it in 3D. The effects were impressive, but I didn't completely like the story.

first of all, if there would be an avatar 2, it would probably take around more/less 3 years to make. an awful lot of time IMO. if there would be an avatar 2, i think the "enemy" would not be humans anymore (nor tribes would do battles among themselves). i would rather have them battle an entirely different alien species. the movie had already suggested that the earth "is not alone". so there might still be some colonies out there..

yes you are very right but i am just asking to see what people think. yes that is a good idea. But they are already consider aliens if you think about it. But i know what you mean. Another life form from another planet. thanks for your response.

Hi, dh1811. Yes, another Avatar movie would be nice to have, I will admit. I think that there should be one that is about about different tribes showing their dignity by working against one another.

thanks for the response. yes because i doubt another fight with the humans will be that interesting. We should give our views to them :)lol i thought the 3D was amazing!! if they do make another one it will take years but with the right amount of patience you can really achieve a lot. have a nice day.

I do not think that there could ever be a sequel worthy of the first movie. Thou the movie gave me shivers even on the 4th sit through in the cinema XD. In between the developement for the movie actually started 15 years ago. There is a scene in the movie that lasted 1 second but took about 350 hours to make.

Well their could be but i dont think i will be as good beacause they really put alot of working into it. Now that they have the money they will be really relaxed. 15 years!! no thats way to long. i doubt it took that long. Well they did a good work and it really paid off. Thats what hard work does! they must have had a really big team. Im sure a 100 people were working on just very little things.

Although I will put money on the release of a second Avatar (maybe in 4-D this time, complete with vibrating chairs and other real effects you can find at MGM's Terminator Experience), I personally do not think that it needs a sequel. I believe the end of Avatar cleared up everything, and a sequel would be nothing more than a way of cashing in on this franchise.

I think Avatar took more than 10 years to make- half or more of the time was the conception of the story and the whole "world" of Avatar. I think it would be a big risk to make a sequel. The first one was pretty good; the story had a strong message and the special effects were revolutionary. If they do make a sequel, it's in big danger of being super cheesy, with the whole sci-fi feel of Avatar. :o
