I currently am using an adidas shoes right now, I used to use a different brand but I like the adidas better. It is better cushioned, the rubber grips better on the road, and it is very cool to the feet. What is yours and you will really recommend?

I am a minimalist runner. I love to run barefoot as it is the best fit I can EVER find. I don't have to worry about squished toes or sweaty feet. I'm wanting to try the new balance 100MT's and I want to try the mizuno wave universe.

I've been trying to incorporate a bit more barefoot running into my routine. But we don't have many safe places here, so all my barefoot running is on the track. Now I'm thinking I might sell my VFF's since I like actually being barefoot better.

Honestly I have not tried running barefoot. It must be quite painful for the sole of the feet. Maybe one of these days I will. If it is really very good then it would be a lot cheaper. hahaha Thanks for responding you two

I either go for the Nike or Adidas brands when looking for sports shoes. i need a good supporting trainer that is light but comfortable and these two brands normally fit the bill.

Yes it "somehow" fits the bill. Nike is good also. I find that the korean-made are more durable for me and the materials used are quite different. But Nike is a good brand.

Yes but it seems their quality has deteriorated (or maybe) they really don't have a good quality. lol

I find that the running shoes I am using is very comfortable and light. I like it. My wife uses the same brand. So is my son. The brand is Nike.

What kind of nike shoes are you wearing? I find that a lot of runners use them. Though for most serious runners; they normally use different brands. Anyhow, I think the 360 is very comfortable (I guess). Good thing that you also run.

before i can recommed you the real shoe for runner, i'll give you tips how to choose the right shoe for running: •Take time to shop, and find a knowledgeable sales person. Good advice is crucial. •Check the wear pattern on your old shoe to see whether you have floppy or rigid feet. Floppy-footed runners wear out their sole on the outside and inside edges; rigid-footed runners wear out soles predominantly on the outside edges. Floppy-footed runners can sacrifice cushioning for support; rigid-footed runners can sacrifice support for cushion. •Know whether you feet are curved or are flat footed. The shoe should fit the shape of our foot. Heel – flare gives foot broader, more stable base. Soles – usually carbon-based for longer wear. Cushioning – more that basketball and court shoes, especially at heel. Tread – “waffle” or other deep-cut tread for grip on many surfaces. ....the best brand most professional runners use is "ASICS"

Thank you for the professional advice it really helped me a lot (i guess a lot of mylotters too). I guess I'm floppy-footed runner. I like the heavy cushioning though. I hate the rigid (more support) shoes. It makes my soles sore at times. Anyway, i Also noticed that asics is specialized on this type of sport and one thing I like with it, not only does give you a good fit. Its style is not the usual thing that you see everyday.

New Balance makes a really good running shoe also, but not the ones you buy for the sporting goods stores. I actually go to the New Balance store, where they can custom fit your foot. Really I think it is what you are most comfortable with as long as they fit properly and you replace them regularly. I guess that is why I like the New Balance so much becuase they can reorder your custom inserts if the outside of the shoe is still in good shape.

wow I didn't know that. I have also came across with a poll regarding the better shoes and New Balance was on the top three. I guess they really make good running shoes. I think I will also try this. Thank you for the opinion.

Since you like cushion you probably wouldn't like my shoes. I wear the Nike Free Version 5.0. They aren't perfect, but they're still the best shoes I've tried. I also have the New Balance 800, which I like except that they have too much cushion for me and my feet get more sweaty in them. But ever since the day I wore them in the rain and they got soaking wet and water was sloshing around inside of them, they suddenly breathe a bit better and lost a bit of cushion too. Still, I only wear them for shorter runs (usually 6 miles or less).
