Do you check to see if a discussion has been started before you post?

I do this all the time, and I may abbreviate or use one word to see if someone has asked a question so I can search to see their responses. I do not want to ask the same question if it already has been answered or just been asked. I will use the search box under the discussion/web/blog heading. Well one of my questions is if you do this does it set something off or something? I got a remark of try this later because of some type of activity? So I try it again--same response. So now I cannot search and may inadvertently post something that has already been posted because I have no way of knowing this. Is there a glitch going on today? Do certain words or phrases set it off? Please help if you know the answer or this has happened to you? Thanks a bunch,
me.

Hi newtalent!
Before you hit the search button did you select "discussions" from the blue text above the box? Or were you searching the web for existing discussions?

Hi, I was usually got the discussion or blog section to see if a topic has been started or has been responded to already so I do not repeat myself. I might use one word or a couple of words to see if may have been worded differently but asking the same question. Then I received that suspicious activity message or something like that which made me think there might be a cap on researching or something. I am on discussion now so I know I was on it before since it does not change unless you change it, right?

I for one do not.
The reason being my discussions are almost always about my life etc.
So there's none related to it most times.
Try restarting you computer adn that may end this problem.
As always.....
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I do check the discussions posted if had been existed previously. However, all of us here are free to share their thoughts, experiences in life. We cannot blame those people who made repetitive discussions for maybe the effect on them will give them a clarity about the topic he started. It may give him a positive effect to gather other thoughts and views that may be contribute to his life.
People may intentionally or not aware about his set new topics but still must be given a presumption of innocence since nobody is perfect. Sometimes, there are topics that are needed to be opened again for a reason of updating and this are helpful also because it improves one's idea and able to relate more especially to those new mylotters who are not aware about previous discussions.
The good side of such is that, we are able to know the topics most commonly used, and relevance in each others lives.

hi! Sometimes I check it out, sometimes I don't :) wel, when I have some good discussion and if i don't see the same in the same day I just post it and don't search for similar ones :)
but when I think the discussion us not so good, i always check it out, because I really don't think that I will lose something if i don't start it!
