What is Sea Org?

Someone told me there was a religion called Sea Org, since I have never heard of it and I cant really find information about it I thought maybe someone here has heard of it.

It's the top-eschelons of Scientology. The organization bought ships and conducted the top-level management classes aboard them so as to not be bound by any country's sovereignty. The group has for the most part moved to shore-based operations, as its one remaing ship was sealed in April 2008 for asbestos violations.
