Depends. Netbook aren't so powerful, it's not good for working, gaming and other advanced tasks. Netbooks are designed for simple tasks such as checking e-Mails, browsing, or etc. (usually) via free Wi-Fi in Malls, Coffee Shops, or other public places. Well, it's should work if you want to use it for work just for spreadsheet and such, but it won't be comfortable because of it's small screen. And, you can't watch DVDs, copy files from CD, etc. without buying an additional external DVD Drive which is more expensive than internal DVD Drives. The choice is still up to you :)

Hi there, I've been thinking about getting a netbook too and have been researching about it for awhile. I think if you just do basic computing stuff like emailing, browsing the net for info and writing and editing documents or listening to music and watching online movies, I think a netbook would be a suitable choice. It's like a pda plus a kindle plus an mp4. It's lightweight and small. You can carry it around in your handbag very easily. And the price if you shop around can be quite reasonable. As more people are buying a netbook, the price would certainly go down. Just watch for it.

mmh it depends!!normally little netbooks are useful if you want do just very simple things if not the system results really slow, unefficent and not really useful!!As simple things i mean surf the ent, check mails, store some files...and so on..personally i think i better buy a laptop because it is true that in many cases is bigger as size and so not as portable as netbooks but you can have a better configuration suitable for everykind of use business, private, multimedia and so on..netbooks normally pose limits to your work and activities in general!!

its not worth buying unless you need it. neither this nor a laptop or computer is worth buying or anything else unless you need that thing

hi! NO , i don't think it worths the money, because the price is even higher than the price of a laptop, but it isn't that stable and functional like the laptop. so better buy a laptop!

Netbook is nothing but small, light , mainimalist cheap laptops. They compromise on computing power, Optical drive and hard disk also in many cases. If you intend to work only on net, then they are good choice as they are very light. But I will prefer lightweight slim laptop rather then netbook

It depends on what you want to do. I personally wouldn't mind a good 10 inch netbook, but right now, there are none that are as powerful as I need it to be. I still have my EeePC 4G Surf, and that was fine for awhile, but I just haven't found a suitable netbook. I prefer ultra thin laptops, the 11.6", 13"~s, and 14"~s. I am waiting for the Asus UL30JT to come out, since it will have a ULV i5/i7 processor with switchable on-CPU graphics and Nvidia discrete. 12 hours of battery life, replaceable harddrive, and all the goodies that come with it is what sells me to wait for this one. However, I regularly suggest the Asus EeePC 1000HE and 1005HA. They are pretty good. But at best, only perfect for the less than active computer user. They can certainly play HD videos, play some games, and do a few other tasks, but it's just nothing like what an ultra thin laptop can give you.

Yeah it is worth the money specially if your into just browsing and checking emails. It's not that slow when doing stuff on the net. I think netbook pre-installed operating system are optimized for internet transactions that is why it faster doing browsing on the netbook. So if you just doing internet transaction on the net it just worth it.

Netbooks like other computers are different. You have to buy a lot of external things for them. But its up to you. a full-sized laptop is more then worth it I think. and a bit more praticle. because everything you need would be included in the price.
