I agree with basqui: research on the different candidates and compare them. As for me, I will vote for Noynoy. Yes, many people say that compared to other senators, he has not passed that much laws. But I believe in integrity and I think Noynoy has it. My view is that integrity and good intentions will lead to the right decisions and right actions. We Filipinos are very tired of corruption and I believe Noynoy will never do that. Villar on the other hand has done many things. However, I don't believe that he has integrity. He won't even show up and explain the C5 controversy. If he has nothing to hide, then why didn't he answer to the questions or just even clarify himself in the senate? Also, I remember reading one article that we should be cautious of candidates who spend so much on campaign. Apparently, Villar has spent more than a billion in his campaign, more than all the budgets of the other candidates combined. We should be cautious because why would a candidate gamble, risk, and spend so much to make sure he gets the position? Either he'll try to get it back or has some hidden interests and agendas to attend to. I can't help but think why his image in the past when he was still running for senator is very different than today. I like Jamby's platform on environmental issues too. One TV show from the US joked about the Philippines: "Mi casa es su landfill" (My house is your landfill) Awareness on environmental sanitation is not given proper attention here and the same goes with Global Warming. Obviously, most Filipinos would relentlessly throw garbage on the road and not care about the long term effects of pollution. As if Ondoy was not good enough a punishment for that. I have not yet done an in depth research on the other candidates but here are my views on them. Gilbert Teodoro seems like a qualified candidate but coming from the Administration, I wouldn't know if others might use him or influence him. As for Estrada, he already plunged the country's economy down the toilet in the past. Didn't he learn anything from what happened to him? As for Nick Perlas and JC Delos Reyes, they seem like men of principles. Eddie Villanueva in turn is a Christian leader and his belief in God can guide him in his decisions. Gordon, with his experience in public office, would also seem qualified. Again, these are just my opinion. But as Ben Tulfo of BITAG said, vote for the candidate you believe in even if that person seems to be left behind in ratings because. I believe what he said because I think one vote could mean a lot and we may never know, would bring about an enormous change. Sorry for the long post. I hope this would help you decide which to candidate to pick. Have a great day!

Hello nemrac12 ;) Hayyyy. ;) Honestly it's just two months away before the election, I still haven't thought of who to vote between my two presidentiables: Noynoy Aquino and Richard D*ck Gordon. Why Noynoy? Well, many people comment that he's just too weak in the position but I trust in him that he will be good for the job. Knowing that his parents are great leaders of our country and knowing that he carries the name of his parents, I believe that when a person has integrity, good things follow. Besides, he's only the candidate who can confidently say that he won't corrupt and I believe him for that. I would also like to vote for Gordon because I witness all the improvements he have done in almost all his leadership. When he was still a mayor in Subic, I have noticed the development and growth of the place back then than now. We usually spend our summers in Subic and even my uncle who lives there agrees on the significant changes in Subic when he was still the leader. The hotels were selling unlike today that most hotels are already closing. He also developed significant changes in the tourism when he was still the secretary. In fact he originated the WOW Philippines. He's also the chairman of the Philippine Red Cross in which he provided easier ways for an ordinary citizen to take part and donate in the Ondoy victims even online and through text messages. However, I would like to make my vote count too. I would not just vote unless it won't help him win anyway. In the surveys Noynoy is leading but honestly I haven't heard of some significant actions he have made in his leadership. I guess I'd research for him too and still compare the two but honestly, if only I wouldn't want to waste my vote I'd really like for Gordon to be the next president.

hi cecille, we had different insights and opinions with regards to whom we will vote. My nephews and nieces, or should i say young ones prefer Gordon than anybody else. Maybe because of being Chairman of Philippine Red Cross , he became more closer to people who really in need. I have read a lot of articles of his contribution to our country and to people. I'm still in the process of knowing others and their achievements, contributions to our country.

i think you should get a thorough reading on backgrounds of each candidate and compare them. it also helps to read their projected platforms if they get elected to the position and decide if those are really possible.
